If you've been watching the news lately, you have likely heard many cryptocurrency experts worried about a possible "contagion effect" that will lead to an extended bear market and could even spread to other parts of the economy. Although it's not my role to speculate on future cryptocurrency prices, I do think having an understanding of the "contagion effect" is a fundamental concept not just in crypto but for understanding macroeconomics in general.
