8 things that prove Germans are built different
Without denial, we all know Germany is one of the world's most industrial countries with most industries emerging from the country. Countless motor and mechanical industries, oil industries and transportation industries have all emerged from Germany. Over the years Germany has played many roles in the history of the world, the most famous one's being the first and the second world war, during this era technological boundaries were broken and the once thought impossible became possible. But let's take a look at some fun facts about Germany that prove the Germans are built different.
1. Drinking culture
Germans with no denial are one of the greatest consumers of alcohol, specifically beer. They drinking beer has become their culture and a part of their life. Infact Germans are the greatest consumers of beer in Europe, just 2019 alone Germany has been estimated to consume approximately 82.93 million hectoliters of beer. But why do they drink so much beer . Well it has always been in their culture, and they use it to celebrate festivals til they gave it is own festival. @Jumper-01 what do you think about a cold glass of beer on a Friday?
2. Easy and free education
Germany is one of those countries that make education free and easily accessible to their citizens and also their foreigners. Some public tertiary institutions actually provide tuition fee free education. And you can bet they have one of the best education in the world. It would be very nice not to study under a ton of stress don't you think @HappyBoy , but we shouldn't forget their kindergarten which is also funded by the government. All I can say is Germany is one of the ideal countries when it comes to education.
3. Bread baking
Just like their beer, Germans bake a lot of bread, infact they can bake about 300 different types of bread, it's time to eat @ErdoV . They also have about 1200 different types of baked meals apart from bread. Germany must be consuming a large amount of flour, wheat and yeast don't you think?
4. Eco friendly
There are different bins for bio-waste, plastics and packaging, batteries, paper and cardboard, glass, clothes and shoes. The regulations vary across the country, but in general, if you wish to get rid of furniture, accessories, electronic items, vehicles, you need to call and book an appointment with the respective trash department. Although a lot of people like tourist and travelers do not believe it is functional, the truth is it works! Studies have shown that Germany leads Europe in recycling and waste reduction, making it a strong contender in the global fight against waste.
5. Family support
This one will make all working parents across the world want to move to Germany right away. Employees in Germany have the right to request up to 24 months of paid parental leave. Also, the government pays a substantial amount to new parents for up to a year after delivery to help look after a baby and to compensate for the loss of pay if a parent needs to quit their work to raise a child.
6. Free body culture
Germany is a race that has a reputation of being rather proper/ natural, the Germans are amazingly comfortable with being naked in public. A fact that regularly makes tourist jaws hit the ground. Thanks to German Free Body Culture, it’s perfectly normal to find people toasting their bare bottoms at beaches without a care in the world. There are many beaches and pools in Germany, even mixed gender ones, that are strict about a no dress code look out for the icon of a stuck through swimming trunk or similar. The German Society for Nudists and Naturists organizes outings for people who like to experience life naturally. There are an estimated 300 private nudist clubs in Germany, with almost 700,000 members.
7. Public parties
October festivals and Carnival are two words that perfectly sum up the love Germans have for parties, over the top, completely insane and extremely fun public parties. October festivals is replicated in many countries around the world, but it’s Munich, Germany which shows the world how it’s done; 16 days, 8 million people, 10 million liters of beer, horse and car rides and endless supply of food. Likewise, carnival across Germany is marked by hilarious costumes and rituals, amazing parades and a lot of fun and beautiful colours in total.
8. Letting kids live their life
In Germany, kids are precious gems. While many countries across the world believe in starting their education at the tender age of three or four, children in Germany spend the first five years of their life being children. Attending a kindergarten is heavily encouraged, though not compulsory. A kindergarten is a place to make friends, sing, dance, draw and play without a care in the world. In Germany, children are eased into mainstream education only in elementary school, at the age of six, though there is still plenty of time for extracurricular activities and tons of play in school. Additionally, there are endless childcare options, parent and child courses, classes and entertainment options for children. What’s more, in Germany, you are never too far from an immaculately maintained playground.
