I signed up to Cashrain and joined communities, but I don't understand the point of the website. Anyone can create any community that anyone can join. Then anyone can send BCH to any community, which is randomly distributed to everyone? You can increase the chance of participating in the windfall by following Twitter or Instagram accounts. What is the point of all this? Just to get people to follow accounts and retweet tweets on Twitter, Instagram etc? Is the point of the website to get cheap paid followers on Twitter and Instagram? Or is there a deeper purpose that I don't see? Can someone please enlighten me?

I have the same feeling as you: it seems to me that the site is made for content creators to gain greater reach in their twitter accounts, because I am already seeing that a large number of people do is put a $0.10 giveaway and get hundreds de retweets for that. It seems quite dishonorable to me to do so, at least if they are going to win retweets the prize should be higher. For this reason I do not participate in these raffles, it seems to me that I do not win anything and they are earning a lot in exchange for my retweet.
It's not only dishonourable, it's actually stupid. What benefit is there from the purchased followers? People aren't even interested in the Creators. They just want to get a pair of satoshis for free. Such followers are bought cheaply, but they are worthless. Here I have followers like you, for example. I didn't buy you, but I can have a reasonable conversation with you.
In addition, there is that factor, every day I see a certain content creator from Chile, doing raffles for $0.003, he only tweets announcing the stream that he will do in the afternoon, he has no engagement with any of his followers and he earns a good amount of reach for just a few cents. Tremendous business, right? It is abusive and disrespectful, the truth is that I am very offended, but surely since I am a "boomer", everything I say will not be taken into account, that is how the new generations of today think, and with "new generations" I am doing reference to today's content creators, who aim to earn everything effortlessly. There is much to debate, say and talk about it.
In this form, the website will soon be spammed. The "Creator" from Chile is the best example of this.
It is already happening, there are accounts from Africa, Turkey and other places doing the same practices. There are even raffles with a duration of 6 months for $0.001, which is completely absurd.
I think this won't take long and Twitter will no longer accept the cashrain's verification.
At the moment and for yesterday I read an official twitter tweet where they warn that posting links to facebook, instagram, mastodon, etc. will already be sanctioned. That they will not accept promotion from other social networks on twitter. It won't surprise me at all if cashrain is banned from there too soon. And this would be a great shame, but if this happens, the users with bad practices that we have been referring to will be the only ones responsible for this. You have to be rational and use these services in a positive way, in such a way that it is a win-win relationship so that all parties win, obtain a benefit.
I think it's too easy to blame the bad users for this. From my point of view, the website is badly designed. It should be clear that this will end sooner rather than later.
Yes, I grant you the point. But the misuse that some "creators" give it makes me angry and that's why I justify it that way. Now that you highlight this, the question assails me why they made a site like this so lightly without thinking carefully about these possible problems that would arise? This greatly questions the "vision" and "mission" of the website...
That's exactly the question I ask myself. The development of the website cost a lot of time and money.
It seems that they are trying to improve the website. https://noise.app/TheGuy/k9m3966k
Thanks for sharing, that new update is very interesting. That way at least it's more reasonable to participate within 24 hours.
I've been experimenting CashRain, and still. And I can already say. and this is only my opinion. Return is like = 0. Or very poor. 98% or more are spammers just here to grab some cents. They don't care about projects, ideas, or anything else.
I may have received some satoshis, but it's so little that I didn't even notice because I didn't set up a special address for it.
I think it's just to increase their followers and likes
Twitter is full of such paid followers. The number of followers on Twitter has no meaning at all.
Kim Said influencers can reward their community those who do stream on twitch or else where have audience and so to reward them all they can rain cash. I have seen people do donate to streamer but what I Got from his POV is why just streamers? Why not viewers as well.
When it comes to rewarding the community, only the community should be rewarded. Preferably the accounts that have been loyal for a long time. In its current form, anyone can immediately join the community and receive rewards. I have also followed some accounts on Twitter, even though I don't use Twitter at all. I might even get some satoshis. I don't notice because I put my default address there. If I get 0.1 BCH, maybe I'll notice, but there seems to be just some dust raining down.
Yeah algorithm isn't Good at all even bots can Get Jackpot and rewards
The website is poorly designed.
Agree
Untill now the policy of site owner not clear and simply people racing for some cents blindly on tweeter and discord. Simple follow, like and retweet without looking into the content. I have no Idea what going on in mind of Kim.
He has long announced the project and promoted it as groundbreaking. I am disappointed by it.
Correct, the sense is in bought interaction. That's why (after the initial storm at the beginning) I now choose wisely what I share. And if the content of the tweets is too stupid, you can also undo the retweet after it got counted. I'm just saying...
I noticed that too, but most won't and that's why most bought followers will stay. I don't like this website. I will not use it if it stays in this form. But maybe they will change something there.
I like the BCH from there but that slowed down after the first days. Will still use it but under the said conditions. No need to fuck up my twitter profile.
Why not create a new Twitter profile? You can fuck up it without hesitation. 😉
I use a twitter that I have for that kind of thing, I don't use my personal twitter for that but not by accident haha.
It seems like a marketing tool for getting followers somehow, also not clear to me...
This kind of marketing does not correspond to my idea of marketing.
Nothing organic about it yet. And by the looks of it, it can easily be botted into oblivion by bot parties just joining communities, following on Twitter, retweeting and staking sats with minimal effort and zero real interaction.
Exactly. No organic but bought growth is worthless. I predict that the website will soon be hijacked by spammers.
Yes, I experience the same thing, fewer and fewer satoshis are distributed among members. And I also think that this community is only good for that build followers on Twitter and other platforms.
I joined a couple of communities but i dont do the task in IG or twitter.. i was thinking when i joined on the site, all interactions will be done in that particular community not on IG or twitter.. so i stopped joining now
