You could joke that this is the first store that has fallen into the water for an electronics manufacturer. The coronavirus pandemic is a significant challenge for the logistics and retail network of the American technology giant, although they managed to become the first American company with an estimated value of two trillion dollars. Judging by the latest move in the Asian city-state of Singapore, however, the restrictive measures have not diminished the ambitions for beautiful and, above all, sinfully expensive design. The Apple Marina Bay Sands store, which is part of the luxury hotel and resort there, is Apple's third store in Singapore and 512th in the world. The look is not deceiving - the store is reminiscent of a spaceship both during the day and at night.

The tech giant already has a store in Singapore on Orchard Road and another at Singapore’s Changi airport, but not in that style. The company’s CEO, Tim Cook, said that on his last visit to Singapore, the store on Orchard Road was “quite crowded” and added that there was definitely room to set up an extra one. Apple recently became the first U.S. company to exceed $ 2 trillion in value. Sales, however, rose 11 percent to $ 59.7 billion in the last quarter despite the corona crisis.
