During the protest on Friday night, some youths set fire to cars and hurled brick batons at police. Police in riot gear stormed a rally on Friday, removing hundreds of protesters by truck. About 20 people have been arrested. The Koran-burning incident took place in the Rosengard suburb of Malmোর, where immigrants live. Rasmus Paladun, a far-right Danish politician, wanted to take part in the Koran burning, but Swedish police refused to let him in. However, his supporters still took part in the burning of the Qur'an. Rasmus Paladun is the leader of the far-right Storm Course group. He was sentenced to one month in prison in Denmark for racism and other crimes. He was convicted of posting anti-Islam videos on his party's social media channel. Bangladeshi journalist Tasneem Khalil lives in Malmo, Sweden. He said that it is believed that the followers of Rasmus Paladun burned the Qur'an. He said they secretly burned the Koran on a bicycle. They videoed the incident themselves. They then uploaded it to a website. Police have arrested three people so far. He said those who have done this are making a ridiculous argument for it.
