Live Selling For The First Time
When the corona virus began to spread all over the world, each countries started to have its lockdowns. Especially on the year 2020 where most of us were just inside our homes, afraid to go outside because of the fear that we might catch some viruses outside. During these months, the world seemed to stop for a while. Businesses, schools, companies, airports and more were stopped operating. Malls and streets suddenly became a ghost town. Groceries and alcohols were often be out of stock due to panic buying of people. Hospitals were full of infected people, some of them recovered from it but others died.
Can you remember these days? Good thing, the world now seems to be returning to normal days again. The cases in each countries are continously decreasing. Some businesses, airports and school are operating again, it's indeed a good news. But despite of the bad effects of pandemic, there are some doors that was opened to some of us. Everything worked in digital such as meetings, works, interviews and even businesses. One thing that became indemand during the pandemic period was Live Selling, and that's what we've tried just 2 days ago.
Personally, I have no clue about how online selling works as I don't usually watch live sellings on fb. Only my sister taught me that there should be 2 phones needed when doing a live. The one who will use for the live selling, and the other one will use for monitoring the comment section. My sister and I have an opposite personality, I'm the introvert and she's the extrovert one, so ofcourse she will be the one who will pursuade the viewers and I will just stay behind the camera, helping her with the clothes.
The clothes we chose to sell were from my sister's bale. She bought 50 pieces of random blouses, tops for 1,799. These are preloved clothes, aside from this we also added some preloved clothes of us for another income. The first thing we did was to wash the clothes and soak them in downy so they will have a nice smell. The next day, we ironed them and hang them so they won't b folded. After that, we took some photos of our chosen blouses that we will include in our teaser. This is one of the blouses we got from the bale.
My ate arranged the set up and I'm the photographer. I remember, I am so sweaty while taking these images because I was standing in a monoblock chair so I could have a nice view but the problem was I was too close from our ceiling especially we did this in the middle of the afternoon so imagine how hot my spot that time LOL.
Also, we bought plastics with printed 'Thank You' for the packaging. Exactly 9 pm last February 25, we started our live here in our sala where we held our first live selling session on my sister's fb account. Even though she's used to being talkative and not a shy type person, she was a bit nervous that time because she might get embarrased when no one is viewing or buying her clothes. But all we said to her is a support, we told her that it's impossible to have zero viewers, she has a lot of friends who can watch her or buy her clothes and we also told her that we will help her in sharing her live to different groups as many as we can.
Those were the clothes we sell last last night, we borrowed a mannequin too from a friend of my sister's boyfriend for free only.
While doing our live, I realized how hard it is to become a online seller. I can't imagine myself talking non-stop for straight 3 hours in front of my phone while others are watching me. What I just do behind the camera is to fold and separate the clothes that was mined and not mined and guess what, I'm already tired with that.
But after all, it's all worth it. We started our live at 9 pm and finished at 12:10 am. We were all tired and sleepy but to make things more convenient, right after the live we decided to pack the mined clothes already so we won't do it anymore the next day.
Lastly, I was overwhelmed throughout out our live with my sister's customers who keep on mining different clothes for several times. You know when someone buys your product you really thanked them because you feel like they're supporting your business by just buying atleast one. To all the kumakayod everyday out there just to support their family's needs, to all the online sellers and owns a small business, we will all be successful one day β¨.
Oh you made this far, thank you for reading!
