Hello friends and good evening from my side. Hope you are having a great Sunday? It's the first Sunday of the last month of the year, hence we have a lot to be thankful for as it is has not been easy in this year of pandemic, but despite all the troubles and challenges, you and I are here today and for that I'm grateful to God, and I hope you are too.
OK, I'm new to this platform as you must have guessed from the title, maybe not new per se as I have been informed on the rules and workings of this platform. I needed to find a place to write, and connect and earn, and of course there were multiple options like steemit, hive, beermoneyforum, twitter even, and of course read.cash as well as noise.cash. I've been on noise for a while now, but due to the recent upgrade and the removal of heart tips, my earnings have basically run down to zero. I'm still hoping the heart tip returns, maybe it was removed to forced out spammers and bots on the platform, but who's to know what the admins of noise or read are really thinking at any point in time? Definitely not me, but I trust they know what they are doing and it's for the best of the platform.
So, having made comparison between all the available options and consulting with people who I know are members of some of these platforms, I came to a conclusion to work with read and maybe when I've got my balance I'll add another platform. You might want to know why I chose read, right?
Why did I choose read?
1. Influence: Well, for one, I know a number of people on read whose standard are quite not petty and I figured if they found the platform to be worth it, then it must be worth it. These are people that will look out for all possible red flags, legal, moral and ethical before they partake of a thing, and if the thing falls short in any category, no amount of reward will drag them into it. So if they are ok with it, I'm ok with it.
2. Positivity/Negativity: One of the reason I find it almost impossible to log into my twitter account these days is the amount of negativity been spread around on a daily basis. It's so shameful really. It's almost like a collection of the worst set of people on earth put together in one place, facebook is no different. The social space serves to connect people, but this can only be done in a safe space, something that's lacking in a lot of other alternatives. Although I hear that the hive community has got quite a good amount of positivity, the amount of positivity on read, I hear is overwhelming. Nobody seems to be out to get anybody as there's enough of everything to go around and the lack of unhealthy competition breeds a positive and supportive community where everyone can feel safe to be whom they are and write about what they love.
3. Support/Tolerance: Another reason I chose this platform is that the users I know, have testified of the immense amount of support available to members of the community especially new members. It's a community where everyone is honestly willing to help out and see you grow. There's also the talk of tolerance where you can easily differ with others on the platform and still not fear for anything as everyone here is open to both compliments and criticism. It's a platform that allows you to be who you want and write about what you love and what without any form of judgement whatsoever. This makes it a model for building safe online community space where everyone matters and can thrive without any fear of prejudice whatsoever.
4. Ease and fairness of earning: There are some platforms that might have some of the qualities I have stated above, but what about earning? Read form the testimonies of users, offers a fair system of earning where no one is marginalised, neither is creativity or diligence stifled. The platform pays both old and new members in such a way that everybody feels they are getting what they deserve. The loyalty and diligence of old members are rewarded while the hard work of new members are encouraged through equitable rewards.
5. Number of users: The number of registered and active users shows this platform to be one that has gained traction, yet still such that it can be checked for anything that might abuse the system. It's tells me it's a platform that can be well managed by the admins, cos they will not be overwhelmed like some other social platforms like facebook, instagram, twitter and whatsapp are. This I'm effect promises that the goods of the platform can be kept going for a long time while the bass can be easily and quickly checked and dealt with by the admins. This creates an environment for sustainable existence and satisfaction for the users of this wonderful platform.
These are some of the few factors considered when making my decision on which platform to go with and read.cash came out tops. I would have love to outline all, but I don't want to bore you much.
Welcome Talon, just enjoy the platform read articles, learn from them spread the ideas, and be happy.
