It's Not Real
Illusions are a thing, only that we think they are real so we do not know when they are illusions. They are false fragment that we hold on to as dear, because at that moment they seem to be what they are not, real on the outside but fake and fleeting on the inside.
As much as the word is not new, people who are found in this category never know that what they think is real are just illusions and they are what they are not. Its very common in our society today how false occurrences now take precedence over our lives, how fake experiences thrive even more than their real counterparts.
I'm almost made to believe that this generation is now more intune with what's not real than what is. I don't know if it's the lack of satisfaction that we face in our generation that makes us seek for more and then we end up finding what looks real but is not.
Sometimes, it hurts when we realize that it has been fake all along and most times because we do not want to come to terms with hurt and pain, we end up believing that what's not real is real to the end.
It's just sad how lost in the world of illusions we are. Like how youths now see iPhones as the mark of success, how expensive clothes are now the evidence of good living. All of these are fleeting and reflect how deep we have all been consumed by the shackles of the illusion hovering around us.
There's Hope
I want to think and believe that there is hope for this generation of mine. It may take some time, maybe years but deliverance may come.
Salvation for us all is not guaranteed but what's guaranteed is that we all cannot be consumed by this web of illusion.
Hope tells me that we would soon remember that there's more to life than the apparels that we put on, more to life than the gold and affluence that we accumulated, more to life than the influence and status that we have in society.
Hope is crying out with a loud voice that we'd one day go back to before this illusion befell us and took us on a wild goose chase that satisfies nothing but our self gratification and what hurts more is that the gratification itself is ephemeral.
Conclusion
If you can, look beyond the illusions of the world and live life for a greater cause. It may be difficult to stand out but why join in when you can be unique, or maybe I should say different.
In the eyes of many, you many be the fool. Only you and I know would know that the end looks better for you and not majority. The choice is yours! I may be wrong too and just in my own realm of illusions, who knows?
This could be fiction or not, even I don't know what it is but you could call my thoughts in words.
The world has really turned upside down. People especially the young believe in the lies rather than truth even though its glaring. As the saying goes: it is easier to deceive people than it is for them to accept the truth.
