I was going through a friend's whatsapp status earlier today and I found a lot of photos of really deep meaning African Proverbs, full of wisdom for those who seek it and I thought it's worthy of sharing.

Something about this proverbs gets to me. Maybe it's because I think my dad would warn to me often, if we talked that often. This proverb seem a bit simple on the surface, but it's full of wisdom. While it's very correct about the theiving thing, but it actually applies to other areas of our lives, especially our morals. What this proverb is really saying is that when you consider doing something wrong, do not justify it by making it seem small. Wrong is wrong, wether small or big, and every wrongdoer starts with the smallest of of fence and before long, they are not longer in control and they are doing the big ones. It's also trying to teach you to recognize your wrong, no matter how small.

This one's really good. In its literal sense alone, it's lit. We are all trying to pursue money, here and there, and at any cost. We want to be able to have all we want, so we seek wealth so voraciously that we don't even see it when it starts taking over us. We like to think we are in control, but eventually our desire for wealth, drives us into the waiting pangs master money. Sooner or later, if not careful, we end up slaving for wealth.

The interpretation of this proverb has nothing to do with food, just to be clear. Today, especially in developing nations, children are no longer allowed to grow and enjoy their childhood. Nowadays, every child and teenager is already obsessed with getting rich at such young age. This is what the parable is about; the neglect of the process required for success. It's no longer uncommon to see kids of fifteen years old or less having cars and squandering money. You're forced to ask, where's all that money coming from?? Kids are moving ahead of themselves and going out of their way to acquire wealth, no matter the way they have to do it. This is bad, really bad. Who told this generation that they can't be normal kids?

Conclusion

What do you think of these proverbs. I know they are meant to have multiple interpretations, that's the way proverbs are, Right? I'd like to hear your interpretations and take on these proverbs in the comment section. Don't just read them, introspect with the lesson learned and do better where it teaches you to.

Thanks for reading...

Wow, going through was those lines was very awesome, I really love proverbs being Africa is where I brought up and I really my conutry and the people living there, despite anything, A lion in Nigeria is still a lion in any other conutry, and that a lion is sleeping doesn't make a goat to remove meat from his mouth. If your say that you are too small to be noticed, go and sleep in a room that is full with mosquitoes.
