Audio recording is often thought-provoking for videographers, but it is just as important as video recording for the finished product. A good audio recording takes some effort, but it's worth it. Optimize the quality of the recorded audio
Use a high quality microphone
Microphones built into video cameras are usually of poor quality. They do not always absorb sound well, and sometimes you can hear the sound of a working video camera.
If possible, use an external microphone when recording video. A loud (lapel) microphone is not as simple as a speaker, especially useful if you want to hear someone's voice clearly. For off-camera conversations - such as podcasts or overlays - a quality headset microphone is perfect.
Control the sound
If you can connect the headset to your camera, turn it on. They allow you to hear exactly what the camera is hearing, so you can tell if the subject is talking loudly or if the background noise is too disturbing. Use the high quality headphones you have to get the best results.
Noise-proof models, or at least headphones that completely cover your ears, will serve you better than headphones.
Background noise limitation
The background noise in the video is disturbing and makes editing difficult. Turn off fans and refrigerators so that they do not make a sound. If there is an open window, close it to prevent traffic or bird noise.
Most sound processing tools can eliminate background noise, but only if the noise is constant. Variable ambient noise cannot be easily eliminated.
Turn off the music
If music is playing in the background, turn it off. If you leave it on while recording, editing will be difficult because you won't be able to cut and reposition clips without hearing the jumps in the music. If you like music and want it to be in the video, you should add it later.

Beware of the wind
It is difficult to record the wind on the street every day, because the wind in the microphone makes a loud noise or appears. To reduce this effect, you can buy windshields for the microphone, or - as a last resort - you can wear opaque socks on the microphone.
However, very strong wind conditions exceed even high-quality wind microphones.
Turn it on later
You can turn on the sound later. If you are writing in a hard area, wait and write when you are in a quiet place after the narration. You can also add sound effects available in many editing programs.
