Decision Making
THIS OR THAT?
Decision making can be great pain.
You wake up one Tuesday morning. The sun is out in its full glory and the sky is a remarkable blue.
You need to go shopping. A new bottle of perfume is first on your list because the old one is almost empty and you value your body scent a lot.
You complete the early morning
necessaries and set out. The air is clean. You inhale and exhale deeply. It is a beautiful sunny day.
You get to the store and they do not have your usual brand. According to them, it is not available in the market. You do not want to waste time checking another place, so you decide to check out the available brands.
Here, the problem begins.
They all have appealing fragrances. You like all of them. There is a battle in your head: This one. No, this one. This one is mild. This one is alluring. Wait… this one is more me.
The battle is fierce, the world is forgotten and your day isn't looking so beautiful anymore.
If you could, you would buy them all. Why does it have to be so tough?
Eventually, you pick your best two. You don't need to make the incorrect intention. You want the very best. 'If Amaka were here, this would have been easier.
You are scared you will not get your desired results. You do not trust your sense of judgement.
At last, you pick one, because you can not kill yourself.
Now, you walk to the provisions section and as you do so, a terrible feeling swells within you: 'I should have chosen the other one.'
This happens even to the best of us. We worry so much about making a bad decision that we do not derive satisfaction from the one we eventually make.
After spending minutes, hours and even days trying to decide on something, we still end up feeling like we made the wrong or bad decision.
The truth is there will always be downsides to whatever decision you make. Some people may say your perfume is great and some others may say it is too harsh.
To start with, you have to be confident in yourself and your sense of judgement.
Do not spend hours brooding on the possible failures that could result from whatever choice you make that you end up making a bad choice.
Yes, it happens. By subjecting yourself to so much pressure and worry, you may become unable to see that small flaw which could lead to a lot of problems.
Again, anyone can make mistakes and worrying will not help in any way. Just do your thing.
In the end, that decision may not be as bad as you imagine.
Just like when you put on that perfume and the whole world compliments you on how nice you smell — 'Please, what is the name of your perfume?'
Have you ever made a decision that appeared terrible but turned out to be very rewarding?
Growth will occur if you continue to take regular activity.
Success will come if you continue to progress.
Be patient while you continue to do what you need to do to reach your goal.
Make your decision patiently and always think positive for a better career.
Take some eternities to think about your voyage so far. Yes! You are attempting your nicest.
You have accomplished this distance because you are performing some aspects right. Look internal, recognize those stuff and heighten them.
You can be the best version of yourself. Or a second rate version of someone else. Make a choice!
There is no success in comparison. Focus on your strengths. Do your thing. Succeed!
"Spread love, not hate"
There's enough love to go around if only the world is committed to spreading love.
Not only when it favours you, but your voice against evil should also be loud and clear whether you stand to gain something or nothing.
Do good at all times! Spread love as much as you can! The world needs more of it!
In whatever you do, never get too comfortable!
Always listen to your heart. Good to see you here dear.
