What I ordered vs what I got: Cake fails
Hello read.cashers. How are you all doing. Well my day is going great. Today I would like to show you guys a compilation of some cake order failures.
Imagine preparing for the perfect birthday party or even a surprise party for yourself or an important person, only for the cake you ordered to be brought in the worst state. It is disheartening right? Especially when they cake was ordered from an online store.
Most people have experienced this cake bad luck, some choosing to share their sad encounter to the world and some keeping mute and mourning their loss of money. It pains to expect you dream cake delivered to you but end up getting the complete opposite.
The truth is that it is not funny when you are the one experiencing this fail, but as a person who is not involved, you might end up laughing your ass off.
I was once a victim of the menace of these fake online store. It was my elder sister's birthday and the family decided to throw her a surprise party. We wanted a duck shaped cake because she loved sucks so much. I was in charge of the desserts. I couldn't find someone to make the perfect cake, so I ordered online. It was a recommended vendor. The vendor was to deliver the cake on my sister's birthday.
When he cake arrived, I was praising myself for having ordered the perfect cake. It was when I opened the cake box to take a look that I discovered I had been cheated. This vendor just put an old duck doll on top of a poorly iced cake. I couldn't even cry. My sister was understanding enough to accept the cake with a smile on her face. I couldn't even trace the online vendor and I trusted blindly enough not to make an emergency cake plan.
I had seen a lot of cake order failures, but it never occurred to me that I could be a victim. I was too unhappy to even enjoy my sister's birthday party. I got an earful from the family after the party. The worst part was that the vendor disappeared without a trace so I couldn't get my money back.
Ordering things online has made life easier but it is disastrous to experience a failure there. I saw this picture of an ordered crocodile cake and what was delivered, and I couldn't help but remember my own experience
I can't help but think of how the celebrant or the person who ordered it would feel. Definitely not happy.
It is better to order from tested and trusted vendors, or just go to the market and pick your product yourself to avoid experiencing these failures. You loose your money and probably your tears over a mistake that could have been avoided.
