Urban Legends: The Robinson's Half Human-Snake
One of the most mysterious and terrifying urban legends in the Philippines is the half human snake found inside the widest and popular mall in the country, the Robinson's shopping mall. The owner of the biggest mall in the country is the Filipino-Chinese Mr. John Gokongwei. Before we'll start to talk about this mythical creature, I want you to know that snakes are a good-luck charms in Chinese businesses. In fact, this is very popular in the country a lot of entrepreneurs are owning a lot of snakes.
The rumour about the half-snake human being inside the mall started in the mid or late 1980s. The half-snake human is thought to be the son of the wealthy businessman. A famous Filipino-Chinese tycoon had twin children one was a normal baby girl and the other one was a strange creature.
According to the rumors about this urban legend, the giant half Human-Snake are attracted to beautiful girls. Sometimes those are the clerks and some pretty girls in the dressing room.
The case of Alice Dixon
One of the most intriguing issue is the rumour about the actress who witness the half-snake human inside the mall. The actress entered the wrong dressing room where the creature saw her. The actress was able to escape from the trap door and runaway from that hidden creature inside the mall. After that incident, the actress was bombarded with lots of reporters. In a one TV show, Alice Dixon talk about what really happened to her inside the dressing room but before she was able to tell her story, the live TV show was cut on air. When it came back, the actress was nowhere and the reporters went silent about the issue.
According to the other people, the actress was paid to keep quiet about the issue. In fact, the actress leave the country and lived in Canada. Her life suddenly become quiet and nobody knows why. Until now, the actress still deny the urban legend.

According to an urban legend, the rumor started when the University of Philippines Diliman Mass Communication Department scientifically experiment on how fast the rumors could spread. They have spread a lot of rumours and only this one became popular even until this present time.
Still, people are puzzled as to why Alice Dixon refused to talk about the urban legend during the time where she was interviewed many times. If it is not true, she can just answer in the news that it is only false but the actress never said a thing. This made a lot of people constantly wondering. She even migrated and her showbiz career immediately become quiet. It seems like Alice Dixon is threatened to leave the country during that time and she can't even utter a single word as if someone would kill her if she speak.
It is very fascinating to think that this urban legend still exists even at this present time. This urban legend flourish in the 1990s and it doesn't even fades. In my assumption, maybe the mall owns a gigantic boa constrictor snake underground. It is not unbelievable when Chinese owner owns huge snakes because it's really a culture to them. I personally believe they have a huge snake hidden in the mall except it's not a half-human. The urban legend about the rumoured human snake creature in the Robinson's mall will always be a big curiosity in people's mind, as will the story behind Alice Dixon's mysterious encounter.
What do you think about this urban legend? Do you think it's just really a fragment of human imagination or there is really something hidden inside the mall that the Gokongwei's refuse to talk about?
