NASA Globe program is not related to BOINC but may be complimentary for those involved in citizen science or like to do something science related with kids or for a school exercise.
There are 4 programs as follows and these are not requiring computations like BOINC but mostly taking pictures and reporting some data:
Globe Clouds requires taking pictures of clouds and reporting clouds types. It is easy and quick 😊
Mosquito - this requires more attention and reporting
Trees
Land cover
Pictures should not contain any objects or people and picturing clouds is generally save as it does not violate clouds rights! (Although there might be restrictions for some countries)
I have done 1300+ measurements of clouds in recent years. Below is some links with more details and this is easy to start with a mobile app!
