• After two years, Microsoft's server has been removed from the bottom of the sea. This underwater server test was successful.

• In 2016, this data center of Microsoft was submerged 118 feet deep in the Scottish Sea. It has 64 servers and 26.6 petabytes of storage.

There are several problems with data centers on that land. E.g., oxygen and moisture loss and temperature control.

Microsoft claims that the failure rate of underground data centers is one-eighth that of land-based data centers.
