Your Bodies: Living Sacrifice Vs.Dying-Decaying
I have come that you may have life and life more abundantly - Christ/John 10:10
I've read this verse already many times yet yesterday (June 17, 2022) it enlightened & waved into my mind & heart so much upon watching Prophet Korbus and I was inspired to write something about it.
Qouting Paul in Romans 12 about Living Sacrifice
12 Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. 2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
Aside from knowing God's will in this way, we were urge by Paul to offer our physical bodies as LIVING SACRIFICES as a result of a transformed or changed/saved/ re-pented mind & heart.
Philippians 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!
Being the temple of the Holy Spirit, we are not required to offer our bodies as dying (even in fasting- we don't need to let others know we're on it by looking unpleasant-we must look vibrant, alive and clean!), Jesus has done it on the cross, finished it & exchange our dying circumstances to His, bear all the unbelief or sin of men (that cause us to die both spiritually and physically) so our physical bodies could live long because love covers a multitude of sin- and our bodies are supposedly here not to die anymore but shall be offered as LIVING sacrifices in replace of Jesus death sacrifice, not as a decaying mortal/flesh temple of the old covenant (where they need to kill animals to offer sacrifices to cleanse us & so we would not die) but as an eternal temple because Jesus lives inside us forever.
In return, we offer ourselves as we take delight in having a fuller, peaceful, enrich and abundant life.
Matthew 8:17 This was to fulfill what was spoken through Isaiah the prophet: “He Himself took our infirmities and carried away our diseases.”
This is included in our inheritance in Christ too, the freedom from decay or body corruption as the Holy Spirit is quickening it to immortality. Paul & the apostles have said it, Christ has freed us from sin (unbelief) & death. Removed us from the bondage of death and brought us into fuller life. Death reigned in Adam to Moises.
Life reigned in Christ onwards.
Are you still in Adam or in Christ? Do our works reflect it too?
Romans 8: 10 But if Christ is in you, although the body is dead because of sin, the Spirit is life because of righteousness. If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you. 20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of him who subjected it, in hope 21 that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God.

We are able to identify the "Living, Vibrant Sacrifices" Paul inspired us to do, let's now learn what are the "Dying Sacrifices" we have to abstain from doing - it is not the Christ teaching for "He will wipe every tears from our eyes. There will be no more death nor mourning or crying or pain. The old order of things had passed away. (Revelation 21:4)"
What Are Our Dying Sacrifices & Fading Glory Then?
Our unbelief and the dead works of the flesh (that reigned before Christ) are also found in Galatians 5: 19 as Paul says "The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other."
We are no longer under the fading glory and yet we walk like we are, men in our beastly nature are selfish enough not to expose our egos, sufferings, pains and even sicknesses to Christ, so instead of casting our burdens to God's sacrifice to have the rest we need in our mind, heart and conscience, we turn into our selfish "dying sacrifices".
When we do these things from our flesh or carnality (others call it ego), it's not only our soul or spirit but our physical body that suffers the consequences and if we cast all these things away and die to the desires of our flesh, cast these burdens into Christ, then we will live. Instead of "dying sacrifices" that weakened our physical bodies, we shall yield our bodies to Jesus as living sacrifice, a healthy, well-being, energize, long lasting earthly life.

Life By The Spirit & The Eternal Glory
Galatians 5: 13 You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh: rather, serve one another humbly in love. 14 For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” 15 If you bite and devour each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other.
16 So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. 17 For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.
The Fruits Of Being A Living Sacrifice In The Spirit
Galatians 5: 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.
Our bodies are the temple of the Most High and the New Jerusalem. The Holy Spirit is our friend and precisely expressive in doing things that is beyond our human understanding. This Spirit is into extending life and life and another life on earth, if we will allow Him to do so.
May you offer such body as a living sacrifice, no not a miserable, unclean, filthy, victimize and dying sacrifice but a graceful physique and yielding into the Spirit of Life and heavens' will!

To be a living sacrifice means to live every minute of every day as an offering and service to the Lord and to be fully at God's disposal, to be available and willing to obey God in whatever he asks or commands.
