Hand Waving & Greetings Of Life

I know that in European countries like Italy, it's the people culture to use their hands as form of expressing themselves.

I guess part of their warmth greetings too esp. for new guests is to wave hands or share embraces to those close or comfortable to them.

I don't know the history of how the hands waving started and where but it's a cultural aspect that I enjoy most in citizens.

When we see kids doing it, the waving of hands as a form of greeting and welcoming you in their presence, I see the same in old people, it's somewhat cute and lovable.

A pure & innocent hi warmths the environment mostly from the young ones.

Here in Philippines as old as the tradition exists, in some provinces the younger ones are still encourage to make "mano" to the elder, a gesture where you ask for their hands on your forehead to bless you.

I wonder what is your place familiar tradition in greeting someone and a visitor. In other local or international areas, they even engage a musical band and more events to surprise the guests.

I believe Australia has a unique fun way of hand waving or hello even to the strangers, a friendly country who loves to smile and greet those they even don't know in the other table 🤗.

While some will show you their honoring & respecting by hugs or embraces.

I couldn't imagine when it started because they say that in the early human evolution, men as a cave creations were aloof, fighting or running away from wild animals and it's our instinct to survive and hide, lol. The kingdom subdivision was even set up by each group & will fight against those that do not belong of their tribes. The "monkey or beast mind" they say.

Maybe when men realize in their lower minds that a better civilization can exist where instead of being a warfreak to other humans as if they are wild animals, they can be as civil and as warmth to them as possible. The question is when was that? 😂

We are blessed to have hands and faces to show our greetings. Waving hands is as good vibes as chocolates.

What form of it do you like most about you and your countrymen and from others?

Here's cheering on your welcoming gesture and smile, out of the "monkey, cave mind",

I have always liked our culture of blessing/kissing the elderly's hand as a sign of respect. It showcases our respectful culture.

But even the simplest Filipino smile is very much warming to the heart.

Waving is the commonest way we exchange greetings from afar and near here in my country. Both adults and young ones do that everyday 🤣

Waving the hands to say hello is still being done today. I observed that here in our place, some kids still do Mano Po, although very rarely. I think it depends on how their families brought them up.
