He decided to urgently send 10,000 sterling (currently valued at about ৭ 1.7 million) to help the Irish.

But England is the forerunner of Europe with obstacles. Why would a Muslim caliph pay 5 times as much as England, which had plundered the whole world, did not help its subjugated state more than 2,000 sterling even in this disaster! This is a matter of England's dignity. Queen Victoria warns Istanbul that going beyond England to help Ireland could be politically and diplomatically dangerous.

The caliph was forced to reduce the amount of aid to 1,000 sterling. Even after that, the value of this money was about 160,000 US dollars at the current market price.

Caliph Abdul Majid could not be satisfied with this, he repeatedly thought that in this sense nothing would happen to the people who had fallen into the pit of death. He secretly loaded 3 ships and sent food and relief to Ireland. Gopen sent cash through many. The Muslim convoy was intercepted by British troops on its way to Dublin and Belfast. Undeterred, the Ottoman troops secretly anchored near the small town of Drageda, north of Dublin, and delivered the relief supplies to the Irish through the city's mayor.

The people of Ireland were overwhelmed by the love and help of a Muslim ruler to stay in Europe.

In 1995, the mayor of the city of Drageda, Godfrey, officially commemorated the help and genuine friendship of Caliph Abdul Majid and unveiled a plaque in honor of the then Muslim caliphate.

If you go to the city of Drageda, you will see that the logo of the famous football club ্রDrageda Football Club� has the crescent moon or Helal-Setara, the symbol of the Muslims, as a symbol of respect for the Ottoman Caliphate.
