There are many customs that are degrading women I noticed that there are many customs, all around the world, that are degrading women. And, that is not good at all. One example, here in Serbia, where I am living, and also in some other countries, there is a custom of buying a bride. Of course,t hat is symbolically, but it is still not good. Is there any custom that is degrading woman in your country? Can you share your opinion about this with us?

Yes, also in my country. But in the Roma community.
Unrotunately, all around the world.
On weding day, bride take any boy in her hands, so she could give birth to a boy. This shows that boys are more wanted than a girls. It is a shame that women takes a part in such a wrong custum.
Yes, and there is also a custom with glass. Bride hasd to break a glass, if she wants to have a son. That is not good at all.
And she has to step on husbands foot if she wants to be boss in marriage

Nazalost idalje ima puno toga. I sto je najgore, ljudi to ne dozivljavaju kao degradiranje
Živimo na čudnom mjestu na geografskoj mapi svijeta. Na rubu civilizacije, a istovremeno ne bismo se mijenjali. Budućnost ide na ruku ženskom svijetu.
Jos uvek na citavom Balkanu ima mnogo situacija u kojima zene nisu dovoljno postovane!
From place to place customs are diferent, but again so similar. I don't like some of them. Hope something will change in near future
