Nowadays, our interpretation of the Trojan Horse is to trick or fool someone to achieve something. The origin of the Trojan Horse was from the Greeks when they were battling with the kingdom of Troy.
The ten years' worthless wars because of the wall surrounding the kingdom of Troy, the leader of the Greek soldiers, Odysseus thought of deceiving the Trojans by sending them a big wooden Trojan Horse that has a hidden compartment inside disguised as a gift from the goddess of wisdom and war, Athena, for the withdrawal of the 'Greeks'.
The man who made the idea of Odysseus in reality was a master carpenter and pugilist, Epeius. Epeius built the wooden Trojan for three days. After the construction, Odysseus command the other soldiers to sail to the island of Tenedos. The thirty soldiers left to hide inside the hidden compartment of the Trojan Horse alongside with Odysseus. While Epeius posed as the delivery man from Athena.
Epius convinced the Trojans that the wooden horse was from the godess Athena. As he convinced the Trojans, some of them were hesitant though the Trojans gave in and let the wooden Trojan horse came inside the kingdom of Troy. When the day reach nightfall, the Greeks started to go out of the wooden horse and attacked the Trojans.
The Trojans did not expect the ambush attack at nightfall as they thought the Greeks retreat from the war. The Trojans did not have the chance to fight back. The war ended in favor with the Greeks victory.
The war started because of the decisions of Paris made and the reason that killed him.
