The Trojan War happened because of Paris of Troy, who chose the bribe Aphrodite offered, which is the most beautiful woman in the world, Helen, who was married to King Menelaus of Sparta. Paris took Helen away from Menelaus as what he agreed with Aphrodite, Helen fell in love with him, but Paris didn't know that she was married. What Paris did to King Menelaus was an insult to Sparta.
This action made the King of Mycenae, brother of Menelaus, Agamemnon deport all his troops to Troy for war. This war lasts long for 10 years because the Spartans can't get into the realm of Troy because it was surrounded by an enormous gate. The war ended in favor with the Spartans victory.
Imagine, a war started because of a golden apple the god of discord delivered to the wedding of Thetis and Peleus. Also, the judgement of Paris.
