While I am writing this article, Biden leads Donald Trump with 238 to 213. Only 7 states remained to decide the future president of the United States of America: Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Alaska.
Joe Biden needs to win Wisconsin, Nevada and Michigan in order to be elected the new president of the US. Nevada and Wisconsin already are in his pocket. There are slim chances for Donald Trump to win over there, but never say never. Nevada is unexpected for Joe Biden, as long as 4 years ago Donald Trump won this state. But what happened today in Wisconsin, I might say that Biden never expected such thing to happen: he won in Milwaukee and the victory seems to go to Republicans here in Wisconsin.
I watched all day the results and Michigan seemed to be won by the Democrats throughout the day, but when I checked my phone few moments ago...surprise...Biden surpassed Trump after 90,95% of the votes were counted. If Biden wins here too he gets 270 electoral votes and he secures his presidency for the next four years.
Former Vice President Joe Biden has widened his lead in Michigan, one of the key remaining states in the race for the White House.
With a new batch of votes coming in, Biden now holds a wider edge over Trump, with more than 30,000 more votes, though only 92% of the votes are estimated to have been tabulated at this point.
It's not a win, he's leading,
The most probably, Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Georgia will go to Donald Trump. In my opinion, looking at numbers right now, the battle is for Michigan. It is the key state that will decide the winner.
Fours years ago, Michigan and Wisconsin were won by Donald Trump, leading the score to a total of 304 electoral votes against Hillary's 227.
Basically, the result will be very close either way. Even the American mainstream media says that this round of elections will remain in history.
Donald Trump won earlier today Florida and Texas, which is not surprising for the Democrats, but it's very surprising for Donald Trump. We all know that these two states are populated by a vast number of Hispanic people and we all know the Mexico wall story. Donald Trump built a wall in order to stop immigrants coming into the US from Mexico and not only. I read today that Trump got many Hispanic votes due to the fact that these people were afraid that they will be kicked out of the country if Trump wins. Sad story if that's the case.
Earlier this day, Donald Trump threatened that if he loses he will go to the Supreme Court and will accuse that there was electoral fraud. It's hard to have any chances for this, but the American electoral and justice system is different.
America now seems set for hours or even days of uncertainty with vote counts possibly ceding to legal battles in several states at a time when the country is already being rocked by the worst public health crisis in 100 years. While the nation's eyes were on the election on Tuesday, another 1.048 citizens died from Covid-19 -- a disease the President says has all but disappeared -- and from which 232,000 Americans have now perished.
