Most likely you have already asked yourself the question: why is the Brave browser worth using? You can be sure that it knows enough to convince you towards the end of the article to change your usual Chrome or Mozilla browser. Below, I have listed 8 good reasons that you probably did not think of and for which you can give a chance to the Brave browser.

Before I begin, I must point out that the designers took into account security, privacy and data protection. Even if you are not convinced (yet) that you should use the Brave browser, by the end of the article I will present some aspects that will change your view on internet browsing.

1. Integrated AdBlocker - Disappearing unpleasant YouTube or other ads

I don't know what your position is, but I think the most unpleasant ads are on YouTube. When you use YouTube on your phone, laptop, or desktop, you often use it to listen to music or watch various videos. For me, it's very annoying that very often a video starts with an ad (sometimes even with two) or that the ad interrupts the video. And if you're not near your device, you can listen to your ad until you click the "Skip Ad" button. Sounds familiar to you ?!

Many do not know that these ads are not mandatory.

Only YouTube "imposes them on us" if we do not take action against them. But not only YouTube, but other video platforms and most web pages do the same. They bombard visitors with advertisements for which they collect (only them) money. In the case of popular platforms like YouTube or Chrome, we are talking about huge sums. Even if these ads can be avoided with the help of ad blockers, their use can give us headaches. The Brave browser excels in this aspect (and not only).

It should be noted that the Brave browser has from the start the function that blocks unwanted ads, the so-called AdBlocker - it ensures that we will not be bothered by annoying ads (although there are people who do not bother), video playback will not be interrupted and the content will not be full of ads. Of course, that doesn't mean you won't see commercials at all. On some web pages, the banners in the sidebar or other parts will be kept, but not overly long, as some web pages do. There is another great option - if you decide you still want to see ads (as you did in Chrome or Mozilla), the Brave browser will pay you for it. You read that right, it really is true! We'll talk about that in the next part.

2. You earn money by browsing

As I said before, platforms like Mozilla or Chrome receive a lot of money from advertisers, in exchange for placing ads in front of users. Here you will not earn anything, better said this way you get the various free services from Google and other similar companies - which will not be so free because those who offer them earn from you from ads (and from the sale of data which we will explain in point 4.). The Brave browser earns money only from ads, but shares that earnings with you. It gives you 70% of the amount you receive for ads.

It's not a mistake: you make money by surfing the internet. The Brave browser rewards your attention by crediting to your account, in the form of BAT (Basic Attention Token), 70% of the amount obtained in exchange for the appearance of advertisements. BAT is a cryptocurrency developed by the Brave project. BAT can be traded and exchanged on other cryptocurrencies (or even dollars or euros) on most exchanges. An average person can earn $5-10 a month just by browsing everyday (on their phone or desktop). Specifically, that means you'll get $5-10 for the same thing you've done so far.

But this is not the only way you can make money with the Brave browser.

If you manage your own website, your efforts will be rewarded by visitors. This can be a monthly contribution set by users if they like the page or it can be a simple donation. The amounts will be managed through your integrated BAT wallet, automatically or manually, according to your preferences. At the same time, this is just one of the options: if you do not want to donate your coins, you can keep, spend or exchange them. This is a great opportunity for webmasters - this way they "don't have to" fill pages with ads, in addition to valuable content. If you want to try as much as you can with the Brave browser, download it and test it for a month, you have nothing to lose.

3. It can be 6x faster than Chrome or Mozilla

Speed is one of the most important things to consider when browsing the internet. Nobody likes to wait. But why should we wait for a web page to load ?! Web page loading speed is a key issue for Brave creators. Both developers and users have performed many tests. The result of each was as follows: the Brave browser can be two, three or even six times faster than Chrome or Mozilla. Numerous Brave speed test videos were made. One of them can be viewed on the official page of Brave, but if you search on Google or YouTube for the phrases "Brave Vs Chrome" or "Brave browser speed test", you will have the latest results; but you can also perform your own test.

Brave is the fastest browser because it blocks and refuses to load many things that Chrome or Mozilla allow. These are for example certain ads, scripts, JavaScript, etc. Because Brave has to load much less data this way, it's obviously faster, as the video shows. The Brave browser is designed to be fast and secure. If these are not enough reasons to persuade you to switch to the Brave browser, read on: one of the most important aspects follows.

4. Security and confidentiality at the highest level

You probably know that when you browse, your web pages and browser receive your data (even more than would be necessary). On such occasions, web pages and browser obtain data such as your IP address, operating system version, MAC address, type of browser used etc. These are basic data, but they are much more than that. Data trading is one of the largest businesses in the world. Facebook, Amazon, Google and other giants earn a lot of money from selling data. Indeed, they are given with the help of which human activities are studied, in order to create personalized advertisements.

When you access a web page, it usually uses cookies, trackers and scripts to collect as much data about you as possible. But not only the page collects data about you, but each element that belongs to a third party (for example, if a Facebook share button appears on the page, then Facebook will also have access to that data). Nowadays, there are often many aspects related to you: your browsing history, your internet habits, the features of your device and practically everything you want to know (and everything you allow).

Brave is against these things.

Certainly the name Brave (brave) and the lion (symbol of courage) as the logo were chosen for this reason, as it opposes the business model of the current system, based on "exploitation". In the Brave browser you can set yourself the data you want to share with "unwanted spies". Third-party cookies, scripts and trackers are blocked from the start. The successful blocking results are displayed to you if you click on the logo (on the lion) next to the title bar, for all web pages. You'll be amazed at how many blocks on a web page, things you didn't even know existed.

All this demonstrates how exposed we are when surfing the internet. Although the necessary data is still recorded, it is only the minimum necessary; In addition, Brave does not participate in data trading, does not capitalize on visitor data. Perhaps this is the most important reason why you should use the Brave browser.

5. Integrated (private) navigation function Tor

As many of you already know, Tor is the browser of anonymity. It hides your IP address and does not save your browsing, giving you the possibility of a completely private browsing. The Brave browser has successfully integrated a private browsing option by adding Tor. This can be useful for those who place special emphasis on the right to anonymity and confidentiality. Thus, in such cases our data are not saved, browsing history, we do not have a static IP address. All this makes our pursuit difficult and we are not so exposed to hackers or electronic fraud (phishing).

Few believe that they can become possible targets. However, no matter how incredible it sounds, accept it or not, YOU ARE A POSSIBLE TARGET for hackers. Never forget that security is essential and your personal data belongs only to you.

6. Blocking cookies from third parties

According to the above, the Brave browser blocks cookies from third parties from the start. But what are cookies? They are codes that web pages use to gather visitor data to ensure the best user experience, as well as to display personalized ads. Such a cookie collects a lot of data. I have already mentioned most of them, but if you are curious and want to find out more, you can search Google for the data that cookies collect. Usually, when we enter a web page our data will be available not only to that page, but also to its "partners" (in most cases you must accept the conditions of use and cookie policy) and the elements used by the web page - we call them third parties, the page operators having no influence over them.

By the use by the operator of the website of the service or product created by the third party (plugin, distribution button, playback platform, payment option etc.), it automatically receives (most of the time) the right to collect visitor data. Of course we have the opportunity to refuse this, if we are careful. Brave solved the problem by automatic blocking; and we can turn it on or off at any time, according to your preferences.

7. It has almost all the important features in Chrome or Mozilla

Even though Brave does not have the full range of Chrome or Mozilla browser accessories, most of them and the most important ones are also accessible in the Brave browser. So you don't have to give up your favorite extensions; moreover, not even to your bookmarks, because you can easily import them from both Chrome and Mozilla.

In addition to all this, the Brave browser has the main functions of Chrome, since it was created from the open source code Chromium, which is also the basis for the development of the Google Chrome browser. Brave is completely free, being available on mobile for both Android and iOS, and desktop versions are available for Windows, Linux and Mac platforms. Like Chrome or Mozilla, Brave can be synced with the other devices we use.

8. DuckDuckGo integrated search engine

The DuckDuckGo search engine is unknown to many. Everyone is used to Google, Yahoo or Bing. In fact, they are the most popular because they have an excellent search algorithm that, I must admit, is hard to beat. The DuckDuck search engine is not as advanced as Google's, but it stands out in other ways. It focuses more on data protection. Not for nothing did Brave integrate this option as well.

In addition to focusing on data protection, we are talking about a powerful search engine, capable of searching for images, location and much more. Mozilla and Safari added it to the list of search engines years ago. Naturally, anyone who does not want to use DuckDuckGo is not obliged to do so; since Brave also supports Google.

Conclusion

Certainly, the notion and operation of internet browsing now appear to you in a different light. If the security of your personal data matters to you or you are tired of the multitude of annoying advertisements, you may think that it would be advisable to use Brave. This browser is a completely new business model that can turn a company-focused system into a user-centric one. It puts the possibility of making decisions in your hands. It gives you the opportunity to navigate freely and safely, in a fast and efficient way. On top of that, it pays you for all this. It is not in vain that it is used by millions of people.

Personally, I prefer the Brave browser and I am very happy with it; after I installed it and started using it, I didn't use the other browsers. If you feel you need to try the Brave browser too, download it and use it.

Brave has quickly become my number 1 browser for everything. Ever since the new sync was rolled out, there is no drawback to Chrome which was my browser of choice for years before.

The only issue is that apparently Brave does not pay as much in rewards as it should. But hey, which other browsers do pay you at all?

Yep, I use it too quite a lot actually. Regarding the awards, indeed I've seen that it doesn't pay as much as before.
