Apple Vision Pro: The Most Expensive Way to Look Stupid
Apple has finally unveiled its long-awaited augmented reality headset, the Vision Pro that will retail for a whopping $3,499, making it the most expensive AR headset on the market by a long shot.
So what do you get for your money? Well, the Vision Pro does have some impressive specs. It features a high-resolution display, a powerful processor, and a wide range of sensors. But is it really worth $3,500?
I don't think so. The Vision Pro is a niche product that will only appeal to a small number of people. And even for those people, I don't think the price is justified. There are plenty of other AR headsets on the market that are just as good, if not better, for a fraction of the price.
So why is Apple charging so much for the Vision Pro? Well, it's simple: they can. Apple knows that people will pay a premium for anything with the Apple logo on it. They play with their emotions. People will line up around the block to buy the Vision Pro, no matter how expensive it is.
But I think it's time for Apple to stop taking advantage of its customers. The Vision Pro is a great product, but it's not worth $3,500. Apple needs to lower the price, or they're going to alienate a lot of potential customers.
In the meantime, a friend of mine said to me that he'll be sticking with his $300 VR headset. It may not be as fancy as the Vision Pro, but it does the job just fine. And it doesn't make him look like a complete idiot.
Bravo my friend. 👏

That's crazy amount of money, first thought I don't think it will be in households everywhere. Sure the Apple tag people pay but for $3500 enough is enough, lol. I read some articles and it's definitely better in terms of quality but battery life is a big concern.
Your right Apple has no concerns cutting cost for their consumers. The CEO said that people will make different choices based on their current financial situation when asked about the high sticker price. We shall see what sales are for this, in terms of quantity it won't be there. Actually I think it will be a fail at this price. L Maybe in a few years when more improvements are made it will drop in price. Look at the Iphone it's more affordable than it use to be in terms of different options being offered.
