As an indie composer today..
Dear Music Lovers,
**Solar Phasing** project have only 3 years old. At the start, you don't even think to monetization. You juste make music you feel, music you love. There is no question here, you are not making music to make money. If you know me, you know that I regularly offer free music. Complete albums, quite often. At some point, you have to work to monetize your creations. Streaming platforms pay me around $2 per month. About a hundred people listen to my music regularly, I would say. Even if you multiply that number of listeners by 10, you're not going to go far to pay your bills. This is the sad reality of a freelance composer/musician today over the streaming platforms.
The internet culture of the 2000s also brought this “belief” that everything is free. It's true that you can download anything you want for free today, legally or not. Small independent artists suffer greatly if you ask me. Again, I have nothing against the free. I produce musical background tracks for multimedia projects that I place for free download. I'm very happy that so many people are downloading and using these tracks in their projects. That's thousands of downloads every year. It's gratifying!

I realized that small independent video game developers don't have the budget to buy licenses. That's why on IndieGameDev Market or Itchio, I place my tracks at very very affordable prices, in addition to the tracks offered for free. I sell a few, but when the platform has taken its share and taxes have taken their share too, what do you have left on 5 euros, for example?! I'll be honest. Currently I live on a little less than 500 euros per month. Yes, you read that right. I can no longer work, and while waiting for the state to validate my disability file, very long delayed because of the pandemic, this is what they give me for a living. Below the poverty line, over here in France, clearly. I survive.. I am not complaining, there are certainly "poorer" people than me. And you know what? I feel very happy in life. I don't think money is a main goal, even if we need some, and it's better when you have some. I worked all my life, and educated 6 children. And now, what?

I would like to be able to work on musical projects that allow me to eat. To be able to tell myself, I no longer have to worry about all this when I arrive at the 15th of the month. It's a long road, a hard work. I will have to discipline myself and get to work very seriously. By leaving nothing to chance. Focus on the possibilities. I will develop this part on the next days. I am working on a "To do" roadmap.

Nightmares (Halloween Party 2020)

We are D - 1 month before Halloween 2020!
I launched an idea in October 2018 to compose music on the theme of **Halloween**. I challenged myself to compose 3 tracks for Halloween, starting from scratch, and only 3 days before. One track a day, sort of. I really took it as a challenge because I generally compose quietly and with a lot of perspective. And here, you need to get in the mood quickly and completely focused on the thing.
Music lives, evolves, transforms, without losing the original, if possible. When you publish a track, the title is like "frozen". A version at an instant "T". You have to, because otherwise you would not release anything, or too much. Maybe it's a right balance. I don't really know what other songwriters think and how they operate. I love to play with my Rock Band Alchemic Journey because we have so much freedom on how to play the songs. Always the same song, but never the same version. Different interpretations. I Love that!! :0) And people coming to our gig love that too. It's the feedback we get after playing each gig. Can we hope a Solar Phasing live gig one day? Well, the idea has already crossed my mind. The Drummer of Alchemic Journey, Stéphane, is already ok to play things like that, a kind of "Stoner Electro Rock" (haha ha). Who knows?!
But let's come back to the subject of Halloween .. in October 2018, I composed 3 tracks "on the fly": **Halloween Prelude**, **On The Run**, and **It's Time To Halloween**.

So yes I have time, you will tell me. But in fact no, not necessarily. I have to submit my tracks with enough time for them to be validated on the platforms, between 10 and 15 days, very often 15 days. If I decided to add additional tracks, I would have to submit the Album to the aggregator 2 or 3 days before October 15th to be able to set a release date 1 day before Halloween 2020. You will know where to find some music for your Halloween party.
For the anecdote, It's one of my daughter on the Album Cover Art. The eldest.. makeup for the Halloween Party. Not sure to realease the Album on the streaming platform with this cover art. What do you think?

If you like comics, and even comics in the form of short novels, here is a site you are sure to like: **The Digital Comic Museum**. The site indeed offers thousands of Comics which are now in the public domain. You can therefore download them freely and for free. You can also read all the comics online by clicking "Preview", but some of you would prefer to download them, and read them on their devices: PC, Smartphone, etc.. A Flying Saucers story..
We are Tuesday, June 24, 1947, the pilot Kenneth Arnold takes off from Chehalis in the state of Washington to go to Yakima. Its route takes it over Mount Rainier. It is flying at an altitude of about 10,000 feet (3,000 m) when it sees what it first thinks are wild geese, in a direction of 160 degrees South. He quickly changes his mind because the formation flies very fast, far too fast. He then thinks of new planes that would do a test flight. As he tries to calculate their speed by taking a cue between Mount Saint Helens and Mount Adams, he notices that these flying objects seem to be hopping and reflecting the sunlight like a mirror. He's trying to figure out which tail has these devices, but they don't. Very strongly dazzled by the reflection that the sun projects on the machines, he rotates his plane, opens his window, and discovers that these are objects in the shape of "pie-plate" which do not fly in a conventional way. Once landed at Yakima, he grabs a map and does some math. His calculations give a speed of about two thousand miles per hour (3,200 km/h). And taking into account a possible wind speed, more than eight hundred miles away per hour (1,300 km h). Kenneth Arnold knows about various prototypes under study, so he is well aware of what was flying in 1947. No human aircraft could fly at this speed, except rockets. And these are not rockets!
You will understand, **this is the first observation of flying saucers**. Official, shall we say. It was on June 24, 1947 in the skies of Washington state that the saga of the flying saucers began. Attracting the press, FBI agents, US military intelligence officers.. and a crowd of curious people!
The term "**Flying Saucers**" comes from this observation that Kenneth Arnold made that day.
That same year 1947 also saw the Rosswell Incident on July 4.
In reality, the stories of unidentified flying objects, and even landing on earth, go back to the dawn of time, we find traces in sculptures and other paintings dating back thousands of years.

Chan Chan (Compay Segundo) - Playing For Change [Sunday Music]

I will now try to be regular for this Sunday meeting: [Sunday Music]. I hope that at some point you'll be like, "Hey, It's Sunday, what music can I expect on Read.Cash?". A moment to share in music to relax and unwind.
This Sunday is for Cuba vibes with a song by **Compay Segundo**, **Chan Chan**, interpreted by **Playing For Change**.
**Compay Segundo** is a Cuban composer, guitarist and singer, also playing congas, originally from Havana. He is a master of "son" ("el son"). A genre which subsequently formed the basis of what we would call, first in New York, salsa, a synthesis and an evolution of several Cuban and Puerto Rican rhythms. It was not until 1997 that he became world famous after the recording of the Album "**Buena Vista Club**" produced by **Ry Cooder**, and then, his subsequent world tour.
**Chan Chan** was written and composed by Compay Segundo in 1986. The song quickly became a staple of Cuban musical tradition and an example of "son" throughout the world. It is one of the title songs of the album "Buena Vista Social Club" (1996) and of the eponymous documentary film by Wim Wenders (1998).
**Playing for Change** is a multimedia musical project that features musicians from all over the world to spread a message of peace. The Playing for Change Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to the development of music schools around the world. . The Playing for Change Foundation has developed 15 educational programs in 11 countries.

I'm thinking of composing an entire Album dedicated to **Bitcoin Cash**. Right now, it's just an idea because I have a lot of stuff to finish. COVID-19 - Again drastic measures!
Draconian measures again!
In France, statistics show unequivocally that the pandemic has ended since the end of May 2020. Today, people who test positive are asymptomatic or only have a simple cold. With a few exceptions, for example for people who already have several pathologies or who are elderly. We have been told of a second wave for weeks, and weeks. In vain! And still nothing on the horizon. Government spokespersons and the media or paper press maintain this state of "fear virus". They use the increase in positive cases to fuel and maintain this state of panic. The reality is that the number of these positive cases is due to massive screening. This was not the case in March when France confined everyone until mid May.
Following the latest government announcements, cities, such as Marseille, are forced to close some shops, cancel all cultural events, ban gatherings beyond 10 people.. and even weddings in municipal hall, etc. Wearing a mask inside and out has been compulsory for a while in these areas labeled "super red". Pre-containment! Beyond lies and manipulation, the whole economy takes a hit. Once again. Down! The winter season arriving, they will tell us that the pandemic has started again with the flu and colds, and in their great madness, they will once again announce a total containment.
But the worst part is not these announcements made for the government.. no no, the worst part.. it is these journalists who seem completely stupid or corrupt at a cause that is starting to smell really bad. Real scientists are censored or ridiculed. The only people who have a global and scientific vision, the skills to analyze the situation, are not heard. We ignore them and even give them the name of conspirators. A paradox! I believe they don't realize how much damage they are doing. They are manipulating the population into taking what they say at face value. Clubbing the waves 24 hours a day of the same logorhea. Not everyone has the reflex to think for themselves and go in search of alternative information in order to have a balance in their judgment.
Who would not understand that this is a great orchestrated manipulation? Global! I have this impression of living a scenario which we could guess in advance, and of which we would obviously guess the outcome. The enslavement of humanity would have indeed started! The next step, you guessed it, will be mass vaccination. Probably with nano technological markers to begin to trace you all and monitor you in your every move. Welcome to humanity 2.0! This of modern control and slavery.

Surfing with a minimum of security
Hello friends,
Today I will tell you some tips that I personally use to browse the internet with maximum security with respect to my privacy and my data. Privacy is very important! My 3 basic tips!
**1.** The first thing that seems essential to me: **Change your default DNS** of your ISP, and do not use those offered by Google. Take free Open DNS. For example:
- **Open DNS Servers** (how to set them with the link) https://use.opendns.com
208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220
If you can setup them on your ISP Router/Box, It's better, because then, they are set for all your devices on your private network.
**2.** **Use a VPN**! 24 hours a day. 365 days a year. There are free ones that are effective: **Proton VPN**, for example. The ideal is to find interesting offers on solid VPNs, and above all: NO LOG. They do not keep your connection files. https://protonvpn.com
**3.** **Use a secure browser**, if possible in private mode: **Firefox**, for example. Even if it's not my favorite. Take the opportunity to install essential Plugins like: **HTTPS Everywhere**, basically. For more pluggins, you will make your own choices. If you want, you can also use **TOR browser** too for even more privacy, even occasionally. https://www.torproject.org
Your ISP will not be able to trace you through a VPN tunnel. And Google will stop recording all your actions. The interest of these tips is to surf in a safe way leaving as few traces as possible.
You can consider doing the same on a Mobile device.

What if the Corona Virus COVID-19 did not come from a natural cause? What if it came from genetic manipulation? We are overpopulated, and we are already using more resources than the earth can produce. I'll let you think about it.
In France, the government and the media continue to spread the "virus of fear" on a daily basis. The hospitals are almost empty, and the vast majority of positive cases detected are asymptomatic. Be careful, if the PCR tests are really reliable. Which is not even certain! And we are told about vaccines..
We are certainly at a turning point. What's going to happen? This is a bit of the question that everyone is entitled to ask themselves every day. Do not let governments take away our fundamental freedoms in the midst of grand manipulation. Probably the greatest one in all of human history.

I resumed work on "**Electronic Patterns**" a few days ago, as I said it previously. I don't know yet how many tracks it will have, but probably more than my previous albums or EPs. I would like to publish between 10 and 12 titles, that would be really very cool.

She wants to broadcast my music during her treatment sessions. It's been a while since I wanted to get in touch with this environment. Maybe a first step.. Some of the titles of this Album are distributed in certain professional structures. And then, two days later a journalist from the regional press contacted me to write an article about me and this Album, my music. I will see all of this next week. I have a lot of unreleased experimental stuff, including binaural. This universe has fascinated me for a few years. "**On The Edge Of The Galaxy**" is a year of work, but nothing scientific on the contrary, just the mood, the feeling. What I felt as the work on the album progressed. And then one day, "Ok this Album has a very calming effect on me". Let's get it out, others will benefit too! :0) But It was with this idea from the start. May he soothe me. It would take too long to explain in this publication, but basically that's it: an album that calms, that relaxes, that "heals" the psyche. And then, it's very experimental in terms of textures, etc. You hear melodies on some tracks, but there aren't any on the recording .. it's just the juxtaposition of textures and harmonies that create them. Here in France the weather is hot. Very hot! Probably warmer than in August. As I write these lines my forehead is sweating. On the outside everything seems to evolve like in a science fiction film. A bad science fiction movie! Under the guise of a pandemic which is now over, freedoms have been restricted and we must wear a mask, which is of little use or nothing.
I have been away from crypto networks for approximately 2 months. Need of holidays. To breathe, without "a mask". We also took the opportunity to play on a few dates with **Alchemic Journey**, my rock band. After a long period of confinement (from March to June), I guess we had to get back to work. Two dates were canceled, we played six. Some are emerging. We had a great time, the audience too. We have received a lot of love during these last concerts. 2.30 pm - A very warm welcome "Aux Bonheurs Landais" in the "Pays de Gex" (Country of Gex) in Prévessin-Moëns town, on the Swiss border, French side. The Restaurant "Aux Bonheurs Landais" is a well know Gastronomic place there. Conviviality. Music very often with thematic evenings: jazz, rock, blues, etc.. Today they organized with "Et Alors..." the official day of music fest: June 21. Music scheduled from 11:30 am to late at night.
We are here to play a 45 minute set with my rock band **Alchemic Journey** at 4.00 pm. I will make another article about it when I will have all the photos and videos about the Alchemic Journey show.

As moderators we have a lot of submission everyday. A lot of it doesn't fit where they have been submitted. Some are really to short, sometimes not consistent, not the good language, etc.. It's lost, you will not be validated.
From Today. I don't validate more than one article a day by user in a community now. I will update rules. Because some people are still trying to abuse the system. In my opinion.
I found some interesting articles, but as they was short, they are not validated. Do you know you can write "Short Post" instead? But don't write about something it if you don't feel it.

I have tons of submissions everyday that I have to reject. Sorry for that, but submit quality and consistent article, things interesting. It could even be a youtube song you like, but saying why, sharing with us some thoughts about it. I can't validate things like: "*I love music, what music do you listen?*" "*Music is life.. I love it*" This is not very constructive, you know. Not in this form anyway. A lot of these profiles have 1 week, 1 day or a couple of hours. Just people wanting points to make some quick money. These ones will definitivelly not be accepted. Stop trying to. :0) It's a lot of work for us moderators.
Artists will have no trouble talking and sharing their art, no matter the community. I hope so.
So, feel free, but: No spam. I would not validate 10 youtube videos per day, not even 2. I think we must all be aware that for the good of everyone, we must not abuse the system.

Experimenting SLP tokens
Hey,
I had a number of questions about SLP Tokens on the Bitcoin Cash blockchain.
How can we create one? What use can they have? Do they have a value?
I looked into it, and in fact it is really very easy to create your own SLP Token. My example is based from the Electron Cash Wallet, SLP version, it is very important. You can download it here: https://electroncash.org
Import one of your wallets or create a new one for the experience. You need some BCH for the creation of the token. SLP tokens are only supported by the SLP version of Electron Cash. Then, the operation is really simple, go to the "Tokens" tab, right click, then "Create a new token". Then all you have to do is fill in the different fields before validating your token creation. The cost is ridiculous. Some dust. Yes, it's as simple as that! :0)
I created a Token named: **MLC**, for **Music Lovers SLP Coin**. I plan to distribute it when I come across interesting things about music on Memo.Cash. Probably here, too. Consider it as a social token. A community one. Other ideas will arise. It is said that the imagination has no limits.

A simple observation.
Paradoxically to all these groups of individuals who cheat by voting massively for each other, or by creating multiple profiles. Some content creators, despite sometimes having a high number of comments, obtain very few upvotes. However, I think that they need to be encouraged, supported.
When you read an article and you like it. Vote. It's just a click away. This will support the author of the article. Showing some love.
Commenting to say nothing does not seem useful to me. I'm not saying it still is. But in my case, I see for example lots of people saying: "your music is great", "I like it", etc. But no upvote .. Is this an education to do?! Try! If you like content, vote for! :0)

I do not know how it works for other composers, each one will have its own method by the way, or even several, to compose and record music. What I do know, however, is that it is the inspiration that is there somewhere, floating, and that at some point takes hold of you. And not the opposite, as I have said in the past. It is in any case my conviction on the subject.
**Do we have things to express?**
I think it all starts here. Music is ultimately only a translation of emotions with notes, with additional text, if it is a song. An extension of language. Universal.
Bernard Lavilliers, a great french artist say in a song:
"De n'importe quel pays, de n'importe quelle couleur, la musique est un cri qui vient de l'intérieur".
Which means:
"**From any country, any color, music is a cry that comes from within**".
It's all about emotions. Ok, we call music: Art. It's art. But it is quite simply an extension of the language, at the base. And what a wonderful one.
Inspiration is there, around. Whatever is your art, let her catch you! :0)
I wrote more about the feeling I have about music. And I will write much more. It's an infinite thema. I could talk about it for hours and hours. When we finish the rehearsal with my rock band: Alchemic Journey (yes, another project in another dimension), we can stay one, two, sometimes three hours speaking about music. When we go home, it's sometimes 2 am. haha.. Great fun!

The Choon plan towards Emanate

**Emanate** launched a plan to recover the artists from Choon in December 2019. Choon having sunk in December 2019, probably due to lack of funds to continue the adventure. There have been a number of strategic mistakes also made. But let's go back to this famous Choon plan towards Emanate. https://emanate.live/solar-phasing
Choon artists could therefore choose one of the options offered to become an Emanate artist. Emanate was correct that if you had $NOTES, the Choon token, they would count them, check the amount you specified, and convert them to EMT, the Emanate token.
I had no problem with this step. My $Notes remaining on Choon have been verified and taken into account: 100954 $NOTES = 4038 EMT. A good point for them. They announced that the EMT will be distributed on june 9, 2020. Well, we are on june 14 and still not distributed. La routine.. with blockchain projects.
On Emanate, to earn money from your tracks, you need to hold 5000 EMT, the gazoline for the network based on EOSIO, EOS. Or pay a monthly subscription. Hummm. Okay. Some more accurate details..
The EMT converted from choon $NOTES will be distributed over 5 months. Meaning I will have my 4038 EMT in 5 monthly paiements of 807.632. This means that one way or another I have to go to the cashier. 1. Buy the necessary EMT (5000) or 2. Pay a subscription. Even if the project is promising, one can wonder if it is fair. I mean, it wasn't a plan to get the big majority of Choon Artists? A boon for them! Because recruiting as many artists would have taken months and months through a normal process. It would perhaps have been fairer to distribute all of the EMT to the artists migrating from Choon to Emanate in a single payment. But finance requires! We can't blame them, they assure their rear.
But well, the project is still in beta and I don't earn that much. I have a track in the top ten: **Electron**, and they put it down of the top, explaining it would be fair for others. ?!?! Well, I made near $40 since the start of the year from 2 tracks (only 2 at this time), but not doing any promo over social media. Just by occasionally sharing a track. But still, $40 for this period: It's low. It is difficult to know if Emanate will really be an inflow of money at an interesting royalty level. I must first invest to find out (holding EMT or paying a subscription), and then being able to cashout my earnings. But it's not possible for now, they are working on.. the cashout system.
And, as I said it on **this article**, for the moment, impossible for a music lover to fav a track or even to create a playlist, nor even to navigate properly on the platform. My first crowdfunding campaign stats!

I'm going through a really very difficult period from a financial point of view, so I said to myself why not do a crowdfunding campaign. About communities!
Hello there,
I was reflecting about the communities on ReadCash.
Ok, they are probably working on how to have a better look on it. Your communities, the communities where you are moderator, communities you have subscribed, and all the other communities. A menu separating these categories to navigate is fully needed.
Maybe it will be wise to add an approval step when someone want to add one of your publication on a community. Asking the question would be fair. We need to have the choice where we want to see our articles. I submit the idea. I don't know if it was previously evoked.
