Hello Music Friends,

Another article about Electronic Music Pioneers.

I published a first one about Suzanne Ciani ‎and the recent Buchla Concerts 1975 album release by Finders Keepers Records. More material with Kontinuum by Klaus Schulze. These are tracks I listen when I work on my desktop and when I need to be on a creative mood.

Klaus Schulze is a pioneer on electronic music landscapes. If you love electronic music and never heard about him, I hightly recommend you to check all the work he have done. Starting with this one from 2006/2007.

He was the first drummer of Tangerine Dream. Later, he moves to create the band Ash Ra Tempel, creating at the same time the Space Rock music genre. He started a solo career as Klaus Schulze after discovering the brand new synthetizers sounds on the early 70's. That was before Tangerine Dream, even. It's the father of the Berlin School, we can say. With an incredible sums of great albums. His music is usually based on repetitive patterns, notes sequences, and long improvisation of melodies and phrases. Well..

I hope you will enjoy the trip! :0)

I love Berlin School, I had never listened to this album before, great that you mention Ash Ra Temple, the most holy music I know. There is so much music out there these days that true legends find themselves ignored by the masses. Got to dig up some Berlin school music myself after listening to this. I remember Anthony Rother made attempts to create modern Berlin school with his albums Vom Urknall Zur Maschine & The Machine Room. There's probably tons more that I am forgetting now. Thanks for your post, looking forward to read and hear more!

Hey,

Thank you for your message. There are still many artists who perpetuate the genre today, do you know Lisa Bella Donna? https://lisabelladonna.bandcamp.com/album/take-my-hand-come-with-me

I mainly compose experimental music, I must say that the Berlin School is very inspiring. I will look into Vom Urknall Zur Maschine & The Machine Room. Maybe you will appreciate Suzanne Ciani https://read.cash/@SolarPhasing/suzanne-ciani-buchla-concerts-1975-modular-world-1da09877

Have a fantastic week!

Oh nice, yes I've known Suzanne Ciani's old synth works for a while. They sound really sweet, haven't catched up with her more recent work though I follow her on fb. I am amazed by Lisa Bella Donna, hadn't heard from her yet but this album is a great discovery! I will have a look at your Ciani article next, I've been at a few concerts where I could hear the Buchla synth live... the sound truly goes through every vein in the body..

Hey man! Yeah, I'm listening all the Lisa Bella Donna albums on Bandcamp these last days. And it's great great music!! What a creative artist. She's multi intrumentist. Hope to buy them all :0) Step by step.. I'm totally fan!

I love these modular synths, they are organic. The sequences are like dialogs. What a chance to be in that kind of concert!

Have a fantastic weekend!
