January 31 is World Savings Day, and due to the pandemic and the holidays, I marked it earlier with my students.I didn't buy them piggy banks, but duck, bottle, ball, bus boxes ...
Children wrote essays on "Saving for a better future".Students have shown how important it is to create a habit of saving, a habit that represents culture, a way to fulfill their desires, whether it is a desire to buy gifts, travel to the place they dream of, for a better education and for a brighter future or to help themselves and their families. Before we move on to the story of saving, it is important to explain to children that money “does not fall from the sky” and that it takes a lot of knowledge, work and effort to make money. Children mostly just see their parents taking money out of their wallets or withdrawing it from an ATM, which seems very simple. The hard part, earning, mostly and do not see. If we want to develop work habits in children and teach them financial responsibility, it is useful to encourage them by having the task of "earning" pocket money by doing some simple and age-appropriate household chores.
Also, children today start using the Internet from an early age, which can bring them new ways of earning money under the supervision of their parents.By encouraging children to save, they acquire positive habits from an early age and become financially responsible. But in order to adopt such a way of thinking, it is very important that children understand the household budget, the monthly expenses that the family has, as well as that every purchase is a choice. Ultimately, this is how children learn to manage their personal finances and prepare for life.
The introduction to mark World Savings Day was the story of the squirrel.
In the spring when the flowers bloom and nature wakes up,Mama Squirrel decided to leave her three cubs to live alone.
Before she left, Mother Squirrel gave them is a tip:- Don't forget to keep one walnut at a time every day! - said mother Squirrel and left is greeting them.
Only one of them took his mother's advice. He divided the collected food into 3 parts. In the first hole is put food that he can eat now. In another holes there is food that is a reserve just in case, if something unexpected happens and the third hole is with food which he will give to those who do not have.
The squirrel said happily: - Next year I will save not one, but two walnut grains daily. The first day of school was joyful. During the monthly vacation, the children saved a lot of money in their coffers.
New Year's gifts and this hour were a premonition that I will also start saving BCH and become a member of the Club. #Club1BCH
I will start thinking and behaving like a squirrel and instead of one or two nuts I will save 1 or 2 BCH. In one of the next classes I might introduce them to cryptocurrencies. I believe it will be difficult but certainly interesting!
Join the club.
Good luck! Never give up on a goal #Club1BCH
Actually, I never thought of saving at first, at least in BCH. Saving money is not easy for me right now, but at least I want to try. #Club1BCH
