How to earn money with Genopets?

As promised I am back with my first article on crypto projects.

Crypto projects are a good way to make some part-time money through a side hustle by performing a few tasks and playing games etc. I have been side hustling in crypto for almost a year and now I would like to share some projects with you through my experience that I am also working on.

I will try to share as much genuine and transparent information as I can. But I would always recommend you to do your own research.

First, let’s understand what is move to earn. As the name suggests, move-to-earn means you get paid for moving or walking.

In the year 2022, the concept of move-to-earn was so trending in the crypto community. Numerous projects were launched based on this concept. The users needed to mint/buy an NFT from the marketplace of these projects and after that, they could monetise their steps for tokens and various users made so much money with this concept.

The trend began when the move to earn project stepn launched its game. The people who bought/minted the stepn NFT in the early period made so much money and lots of other people were attracted to this concept. And after that, moves to earn games were launched nonstop one after another. The market of move to earn is quite saturated right now.

But everyone can’t buy those highly expensive NFTs and start earning.

So in today’s article, I will cover Genopets, a move to earn web3 game. Wherein people can earn some money by incentivizing their daily walk through genopets app and NFTs. The thing about genopets is that it was both play-to-earn and free-to-play models.

What is Genopet?

Genopets is the first web3, blockchain technology-based decentralised move-to-earn game. Users can get paid in crypto tokens for walking if they own a genopets NFT. Genopets Started their token sale on various crypto exchanges in November 2021.  It launched beta testing of the game in January 2022 among the genesis genopets NFT holders to promote a healthy lifestyle among the people.

Then they started Minting of genesis habitat with a 5-week long treasure hunt event. Users needed to solve various ciphers to mint crystals and after collecting all the crystals in that 5 week’s hunt, they were able to mint genesis habitat which is used for earning KI tokens. And NFT minting experience by genopets was one of the best out there.

After the launch of their KI token, the game was finally launched among other players like Discord DNA members ( the most active and helpful members of their discord server), genesis habitat holder, etc.

And finally, they launched KI earning in the game in August 2022. For the time being, players can only earn for walking and harvesting. But in the future there will be recipes, crafting and battling.

How can we earn with genopets?

In this, I am going to cover two ways through which one can easily make some crypto tokens through genopets.

The first one is play-to-earn model, wherein you can buy a genopets habitat and get access to the game and start earning. But the habitat is expensive right now so unless you can take the risk I won’t recommend it. In this method, your habitat has a lifespan According to its level. For example Level 1 -90 days, level 2 -180 days, and level 3 -270 days. Each day you have to spend 10 KI’s for harvesting crystals which will be used to repair your habitat and revive it when it becomes dormant. To understand these technical terms more clearly I would highly recommend you to read their whitepaper and game mechanics.

The second method is through the free-to-play model. In which you can join a guild that can provide you with a scholarship for playing the game. After you join the genopets discord server, you can ask any moderator about scholarship guilds and they will send you the channel link. 

Go to the discord server of guilds, fill out the application form and you will receive an access code for the game to start playing after your application is approved. After access to the game, you can mint your baby genopets, which is an NFT that you can mint soon. Now you can start walking and level up your pet. You can also start harvesting KI tokens on the habitat that the guild has given access to. Earning from harvesting will be split up between guild and scholar, some percentage of earnings will be for the guild and some for you. In future when Minting your pet as an NFT will be live you can sell your genopets in the marketplace. There will be more ways to play and earn in the game in future like crafting and battling. I would highly recommend starting it as a free-to-play, Wherein you can monetize your steps.
