Kawa Ljen is a volcano on the island of Java, Indonesia, which I had the pleasure of visiting in 2018.It starts around midnight and a hard trek descends into the crater, where at night you can see blue flames due to the outflow of sulfur . I'm going to show you this show soon, even though there wasn't much activity in those days. The photos were taken once I went up to the edge of the crater, where the sunrise is magical, over the entire crater and the lake on the bottom.

It must have been a beautiful adventure. I don't like ordinary things even if they are beautiful. I like to try some kinds of madness sometimes and I think what you did was some kind of beautiful madness. Surely you weren't alone. It's good that you put the mask on because sulfur is poisonous, okay Simon, waiting for more pictures
This was one of the hardest hikes I have done, about 3 hours uphill steeply, then down among the stones to get to the bottom, then back up to go up the crater .. But it was absolutely worth it. I was only sorry that the blue flames were only seen here and there, in some images I had seen you could see incredible flows
Thank you. We got to know new places while we are sitting in our homes. I hope you fulfill your dream of travel. I think that it is the most beautiful pleasure in existence to travel and see the whole world. In the end, we belong to this universe and this world, but material conditions always stand in the way of achieving this pleasure. All the best to you.
Wow what a natural show with that sulfur aroma not very pleasant but unforgettable.
lovely. wish all is like you. the ultimate explorer, hehehe. any chance you visited the Philippines too hehehe
I have not yet visited the Philippines, but they are on my list, I absolutely want to see the wonderful sea that I have seen so many times in photos or documentaries, in Coron and Palawan and the colorful village of Stobosa
lovely i been to coron. and its superb. been to el nido and puerto prinsesa too.but coron is the best among them. though never been too balabac. village of stobosa looks like the one brazil. my plan next is siargao/surigao but i hope they will recover soon. badly hit by the last typhoon of 2021. as for me if i cant go to surigao, siargao. i will go back to coron. is the best. safe for tourist both local and foreign. though the foods is expensive but you will not regret visiting it
That's scary for me. Not all the time that you can predict volcano's behavior, it may erupt anytime 😊
Wow how gorgeous.. and am glad you are wearing mask, I heard those chemicals are bad for us
The place is impossibly beautiful. I really like the place. Wishing to travel to this place. The photography has been very beautiful.
