The Bengal Tiger or Royal Bengal Tiger (Panthera tigris tigris or Panthera tigris bengalensis), [2] is a special subspecies of tiger. [3] The Bengal tiger is the national animal of India and Bangladesh. It is commonly seen in India and Bangladesh. It is also found in Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar and parts of southern Tibet. The Bengal Tiger is the largest subspecies of tiger. According to the Government of Bangladesh, the number of Bengal Tigers in Bangladesh is not more than 450. According to the National Tiger Conservation Authority of India, the current number of Bengal Tigers in India is 1,411. [4] [5] [6] 7
