The HSC and equivalent examinations were scheduled to start on April 1 this year. But the Ministry of Education was forced to suspend the test due to coronavirus. About 12 lakh candidates are passing the day in uncertainty as the next time of the postponed examination has not been announced. In this situation, the HSC examination may start at least 15 days after the Corona situation becomes normal, the concerned said. At present, a roadmap has been prepared for the commencement of HSC and equivalent examinations in late September or early October as all sectors of the country are gradually coming into operation.
According to the Inter-Education Coordinating Board, HSC and equivalent examinations will be conducted in the examination centers to ensure hygiene. In case of examination, students will be reduced and placed one by one on a bench. The number of benches in the classroom will be determined by the number of seats. If the number of candidates in a center is more, the surrounding good educational institutions will be selected as centers. Hand sanitizers will be placed in front of the gates of the test centers. It is learned that letters have already been sent to the district-upazila education officers and upazila union parishad officials from the education boards. It has been requested to send information about the number of candidates in any center across the country this year.
