Seek God
Happy New week friends!!!!
I woke up happy this morning knowing God is sufficient for me. I want everyone to know that whatever you're passing through is known to God because I have experienced him.
FIX YOUR EYES ON JESUS
"...we do not know what to do, but our eyes are upon You" (2 Chronicles 20:12) The phrase, "We do not know what to do. but our eyes are upon you, is one of the most touching expressions of trust in God to be found anywhere in the Bible."
Here Jehoshaphat - a king standing before his people. - openly confessed that he did not have the answer. Their only answer was to trust in God, that His power and goodness would protect Judah when nothing else could.
What do you do when trouble comes? When you get. sick what do you do? Call a Doctor! When you need money what do you do? Get on the phone? It makes no difference what kind of trouble comes into your life, whether it's spiritual, physical or mental or may be trying to break up your marriage, and you may have been given a sack letter. The challenges you are going through, notwithstanding. Learn how to focus on Jesus. You are no longer your own you have been bought with a price. (I Corinthians 6:20)
Have you ever been there? Can you relate? God I don't know what to do! But how many times do we try to figure it out on our own, rather than say, "but our eyes are on you!" How many times do we run to others for advice, rather than say, "but our eyes are on you." How many times do we just follow our heart and our emotions, rather than to admit our insufficiency and say, "but our eyes are on you", LORD!
"God, I don't know what to do, but my eyes are on you!"I don't know how to fix my marriage, God, but my eyes are on you! I don't know how to get out of this depression I find myself in, but my eyes are on you. I don't know how to come out of this debt and financial crises, but my eyes are on you.I don't know what to do to come out of this Sickness, but our eyes are on you.
Never, ever, let your trouble get down. When problems of life come your way, just hold your head up high, and say, thank you JESUS! The Bible said, I will be with you in trouble. (Psalm 91:15)
The greatest thing to know is that you are not alone in trouble. Jesus said lo I'm with you. You are not alone
God is with you in the midst of the trouble.
Maybe you have been suffering for a long time, perhaps some counselor has been telling you to bow your neck and hang in there, and one of these days you are going to get help! But I want to tell you, you don't have to suffer any longer. God is here right now to bring deliverance to you.
He is a present help in time of trouble. (See Psalm 121:1)
I want you to know it makes no difference whether that trouble is physical, financial, or Spiritual. You are not going through this thing alone. God said He's a present help. He will make a way of escape. There will be a victory.
Where is your focus? Some people focus on their circumstances and difficulties. Hebrews 12:1-2 says: "Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight and the sin which doth so easily beset us...". In other words, it's time to get rid of sin and anything else that is slowing your progress in the Lord. Lay it aside so you can "run with patience the race that is set before [you]"
Every believer has God-given, God-ordained a assignment, purpose, and destiny for his or her life. The author of the book of Hebrews calls it a "race." To complete your race, you must be steadfast and persevering. You must stay with it and refuse to give up. So how do you stay on course? Hebrews 12:2, gives us the answer: "Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of
God." What you focus on, you replicate, therefore, fix your eyes on Jesus. Jesus had a race to run. He had a cross to carry and suffering to go through, but He saw the end result the provision of the free gifts for you and me of salvation, healing, deliverance, and prosperity of spirit, soul, body, relationships, and resources. He kept His eyes on the prize, which enabled Him to achieve the fulfillment of the vision set before Him.
Jesus is our greatest example of how to stay on target and fulfill the course (the race) set before us. He is the Alpha and the Omega and everything in between. Apart from Him, we are nothing and we can do nothing. It is in Jesus that we (Colossians 2:10). It is in Him that we are complete become new creations (2 Corinthians 5:17). Our salvation, healing, deliverance, and our very breath come through Him. If you turn your eyes away from Jesus, you will miss what God has prepared for you.
Maybe you started out as a Christian, loving God and going to church, but some years down the road, you wake up and you are miles off course spiritually. It takes daily effort to keep your focus on Jesus-the One Who put you in the race and the One Who will help you complete it. Do it today! Declare, "I set my focus on Jesus. I will believe in Him and obey Him.
