As you know I am from Chittagong, Bangladesh. In our city has a great ancient game which was happened from 113 years ago. I have I can show inform you about this game and inform you the recent announcement of starting of the game. In this post you will gain introduction about a fighting game which called “Jabbarer Boli Khala”
It may be mentioned that in 1909, Abdul Jabbar Saudagar, a wealthy businessman from Badarpati area of Chittagong, started playing boli to unite the youth in the anti-British movement. After his death, the competition became known as Jabbar's boli Game. The participants in this game are called 'Bali'. In the regional language of Chittagong, 'Kusti' is known as the game of wrestling.

The 113-year-old historical Jabbar's boli game will be held on Monday. The three-day Baishakhi Mela will start on Sunday on the occasion of the game. However, since last Friday night, the sellers have started bringing various products from different parts of the country. They have decorated the stalls of the products brought to the surrounding areas including Laldighi. There was also a bikini on Saturday yesterday.
Corona has not played boli for the last two years due to the situation. This time there was uncertainty as Laldighi field was not available. However, at the last moment, City Mayor Rezaul Karim Chowdhury took the initiative and this time the game is being played. At the initiative of the mayor, the boli game will be played on a temporary stage of 20 feet by 20 feet in Chittagong district council premises next to Laldighi field. After a long break, there is a lot of excitement in the eyes of the city dwellers as there are games and fairs. At the same time, as the fair started, there was an uproar in Laldighi and surrounding areas.
The Abdul Jabbar Memorial Wrestling Competition and Fair Committee has completed all the preparations for the game and fair. Our City Mayor Rezaul Karim Chowdhury unveiled the trophy and jersey of the players. At this time, he visited the fair grounds. Meanwhile, law enforcement agencies are on alert to ensure the security of the fair. Mayor Rezaul Karim Chowdhury said, "We have a tradition of playing boli game with Jabbar." Baishakhi fair is also the aspiration of the people.
He said in the context of the boli game, I will list the names of 150 people. I will select and let 100 people play. That means 50 rounds will be played. This time, besides crest, the first prize of playing ball is 25 thousand rupees. Besides, 2nd prize will be 15 thousand rupees, 3rd prize will be 6 thousand rupees and 4th prize will be 5 thousand rupees. He said the organizing committee would not take any money from any vendor. No trader should pay tribute. He also hoped for the cooperation of the police administration so that no one could demand extortion. Incidentally, the ball game will be held tomorrow, April 25, from 3 pm to 5 pm. Besides, the three-day Baishakhi fair will be held from April 24 to April 28 today. This time the 113th will be organized.
It is learned that despite the official inauguration of the ball game, the fair started unofficially. However, there is no shortage of organizers and visitors. Every year this fair, a citizen of rural features, becomes a field of great union irrespective of religion and caste. Ignoring the blaze of the sun, the shopkeepers from far and wide waited for the buyers with all kinds of posara. Besides the sellers, buyers also came from different parts of the district. People of all classes and professions have an equal interest in this fair as various household products are available for daily use. The organizers have expressed hope that the expectations of the people will be met again. It was seen on the spot yesterday afternoon that traders had brought goods from Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Jessore and Comilla. Talking to some people, it has been learned that those who have brought various products to the fair are coming to play Jabbar's ball in the lineage.
Yesterday, earthenware pots and pans and various daily use items were seen. There are also earthenware products rich in variety of colors. Traders have brought cottage and pottery products from Dhaka, Jessore and Comilla. Traders came from Hathazari, Patia, Banshkhali, Satkania to sell flower and fruit saplings.
According to the organizing committee, skilled handkerchiefs woven with needle thread from the bed will also be available at the fair. Flowers, hand fans, cool rugs, earthen banks, flutes, da, khunti, earthen tubs and showpieces, children's toys, plastic mats, all kinds of products for girls' hands are available.
