There are various wonders of the world that will amaze us. Some are not known to public while some are famous that tourists and numerous people visit it. Every place possessed unique beauty which makes them different from each other. For those who are adventurous, mountain climbing and hiking are just some activities that they’re fond of. Some people prefer beaches and islands. Whatever the case, we can’t deny the fact that nature never fails to amaze us and help us win against all the glitches of the world.
I’ll share some astonishing sights that are found in different part of our planet earth.
Angel Falls
This is said to be the highest falls in the world. Its height measures 19 times higher than Niagara Falls. Angel Falls is located in Venezuela and currently one of the most beautiful attractions in the country. It is named after Jimmy Angel, an American pilot who landed on top of Auyantepui in 1937 while he and his wife together with 2 of their friends are searching for gold. As Angel’s four-seater plane got stuck on top of the mountain, they had to trek for 11 days. This falls became an inspiration for Arthur Conan Doyle’s 1912 novel “The Lost World”. After a century, millions of tourists visit the area annually.
Fire Falls
Another magnificent falls that we can talk about is the Fire Falls. It is named Yosemite Horsetail Fall located in California, the name “Fire Fall” was given to it because of the illusion it creates when the sun is setting and it causes light to hit the waterfall at just the right angle- which will appear as if there’s a lava or fire flowing at the top of the mountain. This phenomenon can only be seen during a short period of time on February. A lot of visitors come every night to witness this event. It varies from year to year depending on how much water is flowing.
Underwater Falls in Mauritius
Located in the south-west of the island off the coast of Le Morne village, a wonderful illusion of underwater falls can be found while looking from above. It is important to know that it is only an optical illusion and not a real underwater waterfall. The underwater waterfall of Mauritius is not a risky place; all sorts of marine activities can be done there. Some tour operators even propose visits to underwater caves in that region.

Those three are just few of amazing places on earth. My personal favorite and wish to visit on the future is the Fire Falls. I love how the interaction between water and sun creates a wonderful sight.
