Environment, weather, nothing will be able to break the rules of flowering after these 46 years. Scientists are still trying to figure out why. However, it is believed that the mathematical rules of its flowering are determined inside each plant cell of this bamboo plant. This flower bears fruit, much larger than other bamboos, larger than olives. The fruit falls and spreads on the floor of the tree. The bamboo bush also dies, the one who spends a lot of energy grows crops and has no vitality. Daniel Janzen, a professor of biology at the University of Pennsylvania, gave a TV interview on this mass flowering and some related issues. He believes that the tree has adopted such a strategy to protect its lineage. In the Indian states of Mizoram and Manipur, bamboo was flowered in 1958-59. Forty-six years later, in 2006-07, the effects were felt in India, Myanmar and Bangladesh's Bandarban, Rangamati and Khagrachari. The next flowering will be in the year 2054-55.
