Title: mixed signals?

there's this guy i've been talking to and whenever we go on dates (been on 3 dates now), we usually converse pretty well. but when it comes to texting, he would always leave me on seen or take a few hours (read: 4 hours+) to reply or simply let the conversation die without any attempt to start another yet he keeps asking me out (the dates are VERY wholesome! so i don't think he is using me for sex) i've tried ignoring him for a day but he didn't message me at all! i'm tired of always hitting him up first just to be left on seen. i get that people are busy with their lives and what not but i'm used to texting my ex's every day so maybe i'm just conditioned to think that we need to be messaging every day to have a better connection? i really do like this guy but i don't want to come off as clingy because i'm just not used to this. am i just being impatient and overthinking or am i right in thinking if he likes u, he will make time for u? our next date is in 3 weeks but i will get ghosted by then :(

People differ in their ways to show they care. Some people are into texting some are not. My husband is not the texting type nor the calling type but he still have his ways to show me how much he cares. Know first if he really cares and don't try to change him. :)
