Rose garden

The joy of having an excited day in the flower garden can never be told, it has to be certainly experienced. Being one among the flower, inbetween the flower, surrounded by the flower can't imagine. The surroundings are filled by its fragrance and colours. Anybody will love to have a second glance at the end of the tiring day. Such is the beauty of flowers.

I visited Botanical garden in Ooty. Please do not wonder what it is. It is the garden of tens and thousands of species of flower. The garden was so colourful. There are a huge variety of flowers in countless numbers. The biggest flower show takes place here. During season time, the city is completely occupied with tourists and the locals residing there. It immediately struck to my senses that a person going through severe mental trauma should be forced to visit this place atleast once in life time. In no time time he will be pleasant and healthy. Such is the magic of this place.

On another part of the city we have the rose garden. Collection of more than 1000 varieties of roses. They have been kept in such a way to attract the tourist. On one corner we can find the sale of seeds and saplings going on. Interested peoples go forward to purchase them. Different colours of roses in different sizes can be seen here. Just amazing.

When walking along the garden we came across some leafy plants. For me it first appeared like cabbage leaves but then on a closeer look something was written as foliage plants. So just made a visit to check it out. I was surprised to see different kinds of green colour saplings in bunches. Probably shrubs. Few other colours were found in between. They were arranged so beautifully and kept.

Then in another corner I could find different kinds of succulents. Though they were not much in number they looked much attractive and was in great demand. In most of them they wrote the country of origin from where it was exported. Thay was quite a good information for a lay person like me.

Actually it takes a whole day to travel and have a look at the beautiful garden. Due to time constraint we could only visit the garden for 3hr. It was already 5 pm. The timing for visitors was mentioned as 8.30 am. to 7 pm. So just got solid two hours to spend in this beautiful garden. While walking alongside I could see the trees being shaped neatly in different forms.

The garden is so well maintained with trained personnel to take care of the plants and its surroundings. If anyone try to pick a flower we can here a whistle sound. So nobody dares to touch the flowers or plants. The park has lot of huge shay trees and seating arrangements are made here and there inorder to refresh the tired visitors. Neat and clean washrooms for men and women are well maintained by the authorities.
