Reading- page by page - fades

Greetings! Happy weekend to all read.cash members and their families. In the weekend somethings can be done patiently. Iam talking about prayers for the war affected countries. Hope things will go peaceful, let's hope for the best and pray for them sincere. 🙏

The essence of reading a book, page by page is gone. Now for any kind of reading purpose we depend on internet. Everything is absolutely available in just a click. But there was a time when there were no internet facilities. And for academic or personal purposes we thoroughly depend on school or public libraries. Now those days are of rare sights for us.

Our frequent visits to libraries in search of a particular book, but getting back home with a lot of other interesting reads was a common practice among most of us I believe. The benefits of reading a book is more. When reading page by page we get to know new words, new phrase for which we immediately take the help of Dictionary for reference.

Suppose, when we read a story - the characters, the place, the scene- all these flash through our mind making it more enjoyable and realistic. And if its an illustrated book obviously we go through the picture as and when we read. We keep a bookmark once we finish reading for the day, so as to continue from where we stopped. Many of us wait for the new arrival of books. The wait itself refers to our patience.

For long we didn't have to go for glasses. We were much comfortable with our naked eyes. Teaching and explaining kids were easy. Atleast they used to come to us to clarify the doubts, if any, in the book. Now its a rare sight.

For the past few years, the scenario has changed. Laptops and mobiles have replaced books and has been the main attraction for reading purpose. Though it has its own advantages and disadvantages, the young and old are dependent on it. Here, you keep scrolling up and down to get the desired topic. Now-a-days a, Children at a very young age are used to wearing glasses.

Advancements are more and unlimited, limiting the essence of some beautiful things like reading and writing. Where are we heading to? But Iam indebted to this read.cash site where the inspiration of writing continues (though it in the form of typing).... cos long before I have given up writing.
