I think most of you should have wondered what exactly ia Diwali. Here in India, it's one of the national festival. The celebration is for five days but the peak of celebration starts in the third day. Celebrated with great pomp mostly in the north of India. Diwali is also called as festival of lights. A victory of light over darkness according to Hindu mythology. For them infact its the beginning of a new year. Let its light spread peace around the world. On this particular day the houses are lit with diya. The picture given below is diya 🪔 - an oil lamp made of clay.

This article was supposed to be published yesterday as the festive was celebrated yesterday ie., on 4th November, all over India. The dates usually changes as per Hindu calendar. Usually it falls between the mid-october and mid-November .

On this particular day, the houses are kept clean, new things are purchased for home and in fact, not to say it's a must to wear new clothings. Families and relatives staying away from home reunite to celebrate this occasion whole heartedly . Otherwise called as a family reunion. No space for hatred and enmity here. The families and relatives greet each other by a warm hug. Its a privilege to be a part of this festival .

The main attraction of this festival is fireworks also called as firecracker. To attract the public different types of fireworks are available in the market ,for different age groups. Markets are open till late hours during this time. This is one such occasion where the usage of crackers should be handled with care. Mostly, children and elders gather in the evening to burst the crackers. It's such fun.

One of the most important part of this festival is preparation of sweet delicacies. They also mark this festival by gifting colourful sweet boxes to their loved ones, near and dear ones and relatives. Some of the mouth watering recipes are peda , ladoos, jelabis, choclates and nuts.

Hope you all enjoyed this short piece of information. Thanks for your time.
