Blessing in Disguise

Past

Lucky are those born in 70's and 80's. Their childhood being the best. Hope you agree with me. Both youngsters and the old age generation had a wonderful time. Why because there were no internet & social media. Only lots of friends around to play with. But yes the drawback was, they were not updated with any news going around them globally. Here the youngsters were occupied with games of their choice like cricket, football, throwball. Running 🏃‍♀️and playing along with friends in the open ground was itself a great fun and exercise. It was a time when we did not know what was going around the world. Such fun. Be for yourself. A real Blessing 🙌 in disguise.

In our locality, during the evening times, while the youngsters had their fun in tthe open ground, the aged people sit together under the shade of trees and have fun by exchanging friendly talks, reading newspaper, playing cards 😀 enthusiastically watching the games played by the children. Some of them make their way to the club for reading 📚books and newspapers. Such was the time few decades ago, an age without internet or social media.

This was the time when the younger gen did not get bothered much of studies. Though not much to study 📖 as of now. The schools then had physical education period, social work experience period , other than regular subject, for which the children were eagerly waiting for. When the bell goes for PE class they rush towards the ground on the hope of getting rings, balls, cricket bat etc. of their choice. Even if these items are not available all are happy to have fun in the open ground. No baseballs no watergames etc. etc. as of now.

Teachers were treated with much respect. It was a time when we used to wish our teachers with "Good Morning " "Good Afternoon " and so. The very presence of them made us obedient. When they passed nearby us, we made sure to give way to them. All teacher's used to carry a cane with them. Everyone wished to be teacher's pet. But only few got that opportunity. Still it was such fun.

Present

Now-a-days the communication among friends is via net. You have a net connection then you have friends . Good or bad nothing matters. Most of them after school hours wish to spend their time on mobile 📱 or internet. No physical activity. The side effects of which can be visible after years. At times even teacher's are made as fun stuff. Rarely are they respected.

No time for children to play in the open ground. The subjects and homeworks have increased with no time to breathe. Apart from this, inorder to secure first position in class parents make sure to give the best private tuition to their kids, no matter to what extent they are just ruining the child's future. This inturn creates unruly individuals in our society.

So please wake up. Let us spare some time for our kids. They are tomorrow's future. Give them space to enjoy the fresh air, to meet new friends around them, to have a brisk walk 🚶‍♀️, to have fun with their loved one's and so on.

Let us also live a healthy lifestyle by atleast having a brisk walk and healthy food.
