This time, please yourself. Date: January 31,2022 Author: Sequoia "Hey, can I borrow your phone?" **"Yeah, sure."** "Will you go with me to the canteen?" **"No problem. Let's go."** "Are you free tonight? Can you make this project for me?" **"Ahh, yeah, sure. I'll give it to you tomorroe."** "It isn't enough, study more!" **"Yes, mom. I super need it " **"I am so sorry. As much as I wanted to lend you some cash right now, I just can't. I also need it. Please understand me, friend"** "Tss. What a useless and greedy person. Don't think about it anymore. I don't need your help. Selfish!" **"Wait! Please understand me."** ________________________ Back then, I used to be a people pleaser kind of person. Despite of having a lot of things in my plate, I always make myself available to everyone around me. Afraid to say no and be called selfish. I grow up with a mindset that I need to say yes always just to labelled as a kind human being. I wanted to make a lot of friends and I must admit, I really want to help others because it gave me so much happiness whenever I was able to help someone before. Aside from that, I always feel the need of explaining myself. The desire to correct each person whenever they accused me of something. And then, maturity and realizations hit me so hard that I seem to get back to my senses. From being so conscious of what the other people may say towards me, i learned to pay more attention on what my heart is saying. I have seen how a single **no**, have changed my life big time. It revealed my so-called friends their true colors and intention. It is indeed true that some people will only be kind to your when you are still beneficial to them. They are like parasites. As long as they can get something from you, they will mak eyou feel important. As the time passes by, I became less and less interested with what they may say towards me. I let them think what they want. You have to realize that you are not born to please them. Not here to be their puppets. You have a life to live and principles to stand on. Explaining yourself to each person is tiring, so let them think and do what they want. Focus on your own growth. You aren't responsible with their peace, but you are responsible with yours. Start living your according to how you want to live it. Because no matter what you do, or how kind you are, people will always have something to say against you. Stop pleasing others. Start pleasing yourself. ________________________ **Author's Viewpoint** A wonderful morning people! How are you all? Please bear with my inactivity yesterday. Imma make it up to you all today. Anyways, I hope that I can already process my atm today and so, I have to be early. Have an amazing day ahead guys! Xoxo! **Disclaimer: Image isn't mine. It's from unsplash.com**

We all have to learn to say no. The more you say yes to everything, the more requests you get. Eventually you will not have time for your own things.
You just hit the bullseye.
I am like this before, bbmars. I just always say yes, sure, okay. Not until, I met someone and she made me realized na I should learn to say no. Na sarili ko naman isipin ko. Thanks to my ex. Haha.
Good thing, may napa learn sayu ex mo bbmars
Learning to say NO will be best for one to be free from other people's grip :) And definitely great to start pleasing ourselves more than others.
Totoo yan maam. Dapat sarili na naman natin.
Well done DF, I have seen a change for the good in your mental being over the months here now that you know you are not meant to please everyone, but please yourself first and that entails saying No or being cruel to be kind is a way I would rather put it! I am proud of you that now you can say No😁
Thanks DF. It took me. alot of time and courage tho.
I shall let you into a wee secret DF, it gets easier :)
Dapat kabalo jud ta mag say no, ang uban mn gud mugara pag sanayon nato.
Kaau mars ay.
tama jud ni beb...learn to say no pud...
Gani beb ay.
I also used to please people at some point but I began to realise with time that people were not worth it and they were simply selfish. With time I realised that it's actually okay to be selfish and think about myself first. Now I put my self first without caring what anyone says.. once a certain thing isn't convenient for me, I say NO without hesitation.
That's good to hear. Neevr hesitate saying no.
I feel like I'm a people pleaser in some way. I can't say no to anyone. Even if I wanted to say no badly, I can't because I'm afraid that they might feel bad about me. Right now, I'm still trying to say No sometimes. Hope I will, one day.
There's no wronhmg in saying no sis. It's your right.
The day when we started saying no to the people, our life will be set. But it’s cruel reality that if we didn’t please others then they will make our life harder.
We lose fake people when they can no lonher benefit us.
The practice of saying **no** is great way to save yourself as well. I think working that you feel much better and get good relationship to others.
That's true. A single no could save you.
Kahit anong effort mo na eplease ang utaw, may time pa rin talaga pupunahin at pupunahin ka nila. Minsan mas ibababa kapa nga ee. Kaya yeah, do what you rrally want, do it coz that's what you want and not what others want.
Totoo yan ateee ruru. Time naman na para unahin sarili.
Ganyan din ako lagi akong pressured at sad pero ngayo kebs na lang. At nag no no nadin ako, nakakagaan sa feelings.
Sarap sa feelings sis diba?
