God Almighty has a unique way through which He does His things. He doesn't disclose His ways to anybody but His ways is unique and awesome. Since I was born , Sunday is quite different from all other days. Hardly do you hear hustling and burstling that characterized other days. In my neighborhood , starting from 3.30a.m in the dawn of morning , you would start hearing sound and horn blaring of vehicles , Monday to Saturday , kick starting the business of the day. People would be moving out of their houses to City centres in urban areas for their daily work.

On Sunday, the uniqueness of God comes in. Many people keep to the standard of God , remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy . They stay indoors for the day to break when they start trooping out to many worship centres to commune with Almighty God. Christians among the people in my neighborhood dress neatly to show case their newly bought wears and shoes to churches to worship in various Churches. No doubt , the day is different. Melodious songs with series of sound of drums come to the ears of those in doors , believe me , you won't know when you will join them to sing along , even join them to dance. Activities are always in the pipeline after drum and singing galore had passed come in quick succession , prayer of various types from the congregation. Pastor reins blessings on people to mark the glorious Sunday.

Sunday is unique. Streets are deserted , devoids of normal days bubbling. Those not on the list of church goers stay indoors to relax their limbs and sleep off in their various homes. If electricity is supplied little do you hear of the sound of generators in the neighborhood. Silence pervades everywhere. Serene atmosphere is noticed in almost everywhere.

The uniqueness is seen also in the number of vehicles plying the roads , the traffic is light. No reports of traffic paralysis is reported on Radios and on Television Stations. You wish the day to continue without stopping.

Do you know Sunday is having its own unique food. Rice is delicious food for the day but it's prepared for the day's menu in several different manners , quite different from normal days preparation. The difference is noticed in the taste and in the aroma it brings. In our family house in those days , each and every child is having opportunity of collecting one or two sliced meat on top of your share of plate of rice given to you. In addition to that , a bottle of chilled soft drinks is also added to already allocated plate of jollof or fried rice. Now that I am living alone the tradition is kept intact. Thanks to the uniqueness of Sunday.

After Sunday service , you come home to serve siesta. Nobody disturbs you from sleeping. We sleep soundly without any visible work to do. Such undisturbed sleep is enjoyed to the fullest.
