A penny a day, a step to freedom
Hello there, guys.
The way the days just fly by still baffles me, possibly because I've been extremely busy lately and I mostly only have time at night, which is why I write or do other personal things at night. I still need to plan this year carefully in order to be organized. Okay, so today I saw a picture of an apartment on social media, and a woman talked about how she saved up to get that apartment, and just looking at that picture was really inspiring, and it shows how hard she worked.

So back to it
I've had my own experience where I needed to save up for a machine, wig, and other items. I didn't really have a budget; all I wanted to do was save money. I began with the local one (piggy box/bank/kolo), but I was tempted and kept deceiving myself, so I had to stop. Then I started the online one as well, though you may be tempted to withdraw as well, but they have a policy that helps if you don't withdraw in any case. I was very proud of myself because it takes a lot of discipline and patience to get just two of the things I wanted at the time.
Investments are savings too in that they yield earnings and are often long-term. Any property, whether it be land or a building, is an investment. All of these celebrities who buy expensive items such as bags and paintings are making investments that they will sell for a very high price in the future; all of those ancient artworks are now worth millions and billions of dollars, so I promote investing as well.
You've probably heard a variety of strategies to save and spend, and we all need to know how to save and spend at times. I was telling a friend about how much money I've been spending on food and how I'm not really saving or attempting to save money. If you earn $500 per month, that does not mean you will save $400. You must plan how you will spend your money. I saw a video of a man explaining how we should divide our money; some individuals invest half of their profits. I don't recall the exact ratio, but you should set aside 10% of your wages for savings, 10% for investments, 20% for feeding, and 10% for tithes and the likes it can be more or less it depends.
Savings requires determination, patience and discipline its not easy to do but its worth it. I hope we start the habit of savings .
