It is time to make a stand for our planet. Save our trees. Protect our forests.
What comes to your mind when someone asks you what is our source of oxygen? If you ask me, the first thing that comes to my mind is trees - because they are. They are one of the sources of oxygen that let us breath and live.
It is not uncommon to us that the issues of illegal logging have been one of our planet's major problem. Majority still practice excessive cutting of trees to the point that it almost cleared out the whole mountains and forests. And it is dangerous- very dangerous that it does not only diminish one of our main sources of oxygen but it also rob the habitats of many of our wildlife species! When trees are gone, forests are gone. The main habitat of our wildlife will be gone. Wildlife gone, soon, we will too.
As an environmental advocate it is quite alarming how some still do not know the importance of trees. They did not even consider planting another when they cut one. Yes, trees provide us with a lot of our materials. But we should also learn to give back. If we cut one, we must also plant one. We should know that it takes years for one huge tree to grow but it only takes us minutes to cut it down. The instances that we use them are much higher than the chances that they could be reproduced. And yet we are not alarmed.
We think that the technology we have now is enough to save us that we disregard the alarming cases of illegal cutting of trees. We think that they will be there forever, but no. If we only take and we do not consider planting again, soon, all of them will be gone.
It is now the time that we look at the things around us and realize that it will not be there forever. And if we will not take care of it, it will bounce back to us and greatly affect our lives. Open your eyes now- save our trees and protect our forests!
