Never bought into GnR, mainly because of his whiny voice. Sweet Child was ok until that ridiculous "where do we go now... " towards the end. However, I will concede that November Rain is an amazing ballard, but lets be honest it is Slash's solo at the end that made it and their cover of Live and Let Die is just delicious... So they can't be all bad.
Lots of great songs in this album. Who could resist headbanging to this?
This outsold Boston's first album? Holy moly ...... I had no idea it was so popular. I remember when the Boston mania hit. I was in 11th grade, and "the crowd" who was feasting on "Frampton Comes Alive!" gobbled up Boston like it was the greatest thing since the Beatles. Boston stayed super popular all through my senior year and the summer after, seeming to only die down when I went away to college. (Or maybe it was simply a change of locale and people.)
