I'm not sure if this female cardinal realized how close Death was to her this morning as she rested on my front porch. She had not one, but TWO cats walk right past her without them noticing her. If they haven't been so intent on entering and exiting the house as I opened the door to get this photo, she would have become someone's lunch. (Second photo was actually the first taken, I saw her as I was getting ready to open the screen door and let Emoci out and Scar in)
