Coughee #2 on the morning of the second day of the first month of the third year of The Plague. 5:30 A.M. with a temperature of 29° F/-2° C and the sun not set to rise for another hour and 40 minutes roughly. At least it is not raining, or even worse, snowing; I'll call it a win.
@Scarred4Lyfe in January 2022
Been meaning to buy a blood pressure cuff for a few months so I could check my BP at home but kept forgetting, finally got it today. The new meds must be working because my last visit to the doctor (before she gave me a new prescription) my BP was 154/73, today (11 days later) it is 130/73.
The Jimi Hendrix Experience - Smash Hits Purple Haze on purple vinyl. Quite fitting. Might be 'bout time to smoke a lil' smoke and relax while the smell of the ham cooking in the crock-pot drifts throughout the household.
The third morning of the first month of the third year of The Plague. Random snowflakes drifting in the air, but not enough to show on the ground. P.T. came in for a bit with the intention of eating ALL the 'nip, then proceeded to lay in a hazy daze on the table for about 15 minutes before going back outside. Emoci is curled up napping on the CatTrap™ while Scar debates going out to harass P.T. Myself, I am trying to decide if I want to read or if I might watch a bit of TV…
5:18 A.M. on the fourth morning of the first month of the third year of The Plague. Well, I've been looking at the screen and wanting to make some Noise for about 4 hours now but it has been really quiet here. Scar's been out most of the time, Petey has a sore front paw and has been curled up sleeping, and poor 'moci has a cold and has been trying to sleep but keeps sneezing and snorting (and just like she doesn't have a loud voice, she has these dainty little sneezes).
Just released last month (December 10th 2021), just bought today as a gift to me from myself to celebrate the 62nd anniversary of the day of my birthing, which occurs tomorrow. Neil Young & Crazy Horse - "Barn" Side one - 1. "Song of the Seasons" 2. "Heading West" 3. "Change Ain't Never Gonna" 4. "Canerican" 5. "Shape of You" 6. "They Might Be Lost" Side two - 1. "Human Race" 2, "Tumblin' Thru the Years" 3. "Welcome Back" 4. "Don't Forget Love" Ended up getting 4 other…
Nothing like starting the day out with a double-shot of live Neil Young & Crazy Horse (unless it is the 3-album set 'Decade'). I'll state that I do prefer the studio versions of most of the material here, but this also takes me back to when I saw Neil live in concert, which for 30 years was my all-time favorite show. Neil Young/Crazy Horse - Live Rust (1979) Side one - 1. "Sugar Mountain" 2. "I Am a Child" 3. "Comes a Time" 4. "After the Gold Rush" 5. "My My, Hey Hey (Out of…
1:28 P.M. on the fifth afternoon of the first month of the third year of The Plague. The 62nd yearly celebration of the anniversary of my birthing continues. Listening to album #5 from the batch I bought yesterday, and burning a bit of what I bought at the weed store. The album - Tom Petty & the Heartbreaker's 1981 release 'Hard Promises' is really good. This is the 9th Tom Petty album I have bought for my collection (10th if you count the Greatest Hits album) and they are…
3:58 A.M. on the sixth morning of the first month of the third year of The Plague. The one-year anniversary of the day idiots led on by a pathetic liar stormed the US Capitol building. Most of America was NOT watching the electoral vote count when it happened - I was. I saw it all occur in real-time, not from edited clips shown later. And I still think The Donald/Donald Trump/Lord Dampnut should be banned from ever participating in US politics again.
I just had an echocardiogram done on me and I now have definitive proof that contrary to popular belief I am NOT a heartless bastard.
Currently -14 C/7 F outside and I keep telling Scar it is too cold to go out but he doesn't listen and then 5 minutes later he's at the door wanting back in and asking why I made him go out...Petey and Emoci both have sense enough to stay in right now. #Cats
This here is an advertisement asking you to give a listen to this song from a local Southern Illinois USA band (Muddy Creek & Co.) that my youngest brother plays drums for. Well, I guess since nothing is for sale it isn't really an advertisement, more a suggestion. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BEfR2h8tGfM #music (photo is not mine)
The three stages of 'free tips' explained for those that do not realize there are three stages. Stage 1 is between 20-33% of the tip kept for yourself. In this stage, the percentage stays written in white. Stage 2 is between 34-50% of the tip kept for yourself. In this stage, the percentage turns orange. Stage 3 is anything between 51-80% of the tip kept for yourself, and here the percentage turns red. I've always assumed yellow/orange means 'caution' and red means 'warning'…
12:36 A.M. on the eighth morning of the first month of the third year of The Plague. I keep waking up hoping to see BCH made a huge gain while I was asleep, and it keeps not happening. I'm really glad that when I invested (I bought 3 BCH outright) it was money I had no current use for, so I can ride things out until it does show a profit, but sitting here 'down' collectively a few hundred dollars overall since I bought it does tend to make me wish I hadn't bought in (I…
What use is #Caturday without #cat photos? So here are all three #cats : Scar, Petey, & Emoci. (Poor 'moci is still a bit under the weather with a cold.)
5:45 A.M. on the ninth morning of the first month of the third year of The Plague. I actually slept in for once, didn't get up until shortly after 4 this morning. Scar and Petey are both outside where it is foggy and 43 F/6 C, and Emoci is feeling a bit better than she has the past several days. Meanwhile, Coughee and I are having a good morning chat with each other. lol
#VinylJunkies System Of A Down - System Of A Down (1998) Nu metal, alternative metal, some-kind-of metal anyway. Metalish? I dunno. But Mikey likes anyway. NOT for the faint of heart. If you do not like your music to kick your teeth out of your mouth, this is not for you. lol I already have no teeth, so... Side one - 1. "Suite-Pee" 2. "Know" 3. "Sugar" 4. "Suggestions" 5. "Spiders" 6. "DDevil" 7. "Soil" Side two - 8. "War?" 9. "Mind" 10. "Peephole" 11. "CUBErt" 12. "Darts"…
I'm getting too old for this crap. Went to the grocery store, came home, got out of the truck with groceries in one hand, keys in the other, headed for the back door and as I went to the back porch my feet went out from under me in the mud and I landed HARD on my right side. After laying there stunned for a moment I started picking up spilled groceries (and keys), got to my feet, and limped inside. Gonna get a nice bruise out of this I can already tell.
Sad, felt I As through the gloomy, uncaring mists I watched the rain Plummet to the Earth Drowning my dreams in its Flood of misery The pie Which I had created to perfection And set upon the open windowsill to cool Now resembled nothing more Than an expired bakery treat Abandoned in a dumpster All was loneliness As I slipped through the crack To land upon The island of hunger © 2016 Michael Joseph Ratcliffe
Ol' P.T. getting in some quality bed time without the Big Ol' Dumb Hoomin crowding the middle of the mattress. lol I leaned down and I asked if he was now full-time (P.T. stands for part-time, he used to only come inside long enough to eat and then immediately went back outside) or just thought the bed was really comfortable, and he didn't say a thing, just licked my nose. So it's probably just the comfortable bed. lol #cats
72 hour (3 day) ban from facebook for a Samuel L Jackson quote. Not sure if I offended a Jesus Freak or some White Person (or possibly even eight motherfuckin' white people), but I thought it was a statement of how serious he was, and do not understand how it is hate speech.
4:19 A.M. on the 11th morning of the first month of the third year of The Plague. I awoke this morning to the news that I was still alive, and still enslaved to three cats, all of whom expect me to do their bidding instantaneously, regardless if all three want three completely different things at the same time. All *I* wanted to do was start the coughee machine and drop off a load of used water in the bathroom. Do you realize how hard it is to pee with cats circling your…
"I am in shape---shape is round." Got ready to go out front to put out fresh ears of corn for the squirrels at the Squirrel Tree™ this morning when I saw this porky lil' thing out there feeding. I think it may possibly be even more 'round' than Emoci is---I guess actually when Emoci sits it is more of a 'pear' shape. Meanwhile, this squirrel would make a good substitute for a baseball when playing catch.
Well, between the sun and the shadows I did not get quite the shot I wanted, although I took 57 photos of this male Northern Cardinal trying to get it before he flew away. That is the worst thing about amateur photography---occasionally you get lucky and get a fantastic shot, and then everything else just isn't the same. You start TRYING to get that accidental lucky shot, which means it would not be an accident, so you don't get it, and then you wonder why your shots don't…
I guess it helps the cougheemaker make coughee if you put water in it first, or at least before you turn it on and walk away. Came back into the kitchen a few minutes later and the cougheepot was still dry.
I saw these this morning while out perusing for a particular kind of cat food (of which none was available and iffen they don't get some in by Friday I am gonna be up shit creek with my herd but that's a different story) and they were large and appeared as they might be a bit juicy so I got them and they ARE large and juicy and I have enough vitamin C for a week.
Almost 4 A.M. on the 14th morning of the 1st month of the 3rd year of The Plague. Pizza rolls for breakfast---one of the advantages of being a single adult. And with paper plates, no dishes to wash. *raises coughee mug* G'mornin' y'all.
#REM #VinylJunkies R.E.M. - Green (1988) The 6th studio release from Athens Georgia (USA) band R.E.M. would become their first multi-platinum release. With an eye towards a 'harder' rock sound for many cuts on it, it would expand the band's audience considerably. Of course, I merely laughed at those people and called them 'posers' since I'd been into R.E.M. since several years previous to this album. Side one/Air 1. "Pop Song 89" 2. "Get Up" 3. "You Are the Everything" 4.…
A quiet Friday afternoon with Tom Petty's album(s) "Wildflowers & All the Rest" (2020) New 760 gram weight for the turntable, gives a much stabler playing surface (less noise) and increased platter mass which translates to smoother speed reproduction.
#caturday Me & P.T. (chilling in the name of) 6:45 A.M. on the 15th day of the 1st month of the 3rd year of the Plague. Stay tuned, coming up next is that new hit single "White Shit (Falling From The Sky)" by The Snowflakes. Meanwhile, let's Rage Against The Machine.
Sunday Morning Worship at the Church of Stevie Ray
So I checked the 10 day weather forecast before I went to bed and there was no precipitation of any type in the forecast other than a 2% chance of light rain---and then this morning I wake up to this snow crap. I guess it decided to make up for not hitting us Friday night/Saturday morning when the forecast called for a bit over an inch and we didn't get any. (Yes, I realize thousands are without power due to a storm over the weekend, and I should be glad I wasn't in it, but…
The absolute worst concert I ever went to was Mötley Crüe when they toured for this album, Vince Neil was so screwed up on something all he could do was mumble most of the lyrics to songs, but the album itself is pretty damned good. Mötley Crüe - Girls Girls Girls (1987) Side one - 1. "Wild Side" 2. "Girls, Girls, Girls" 3. "Dancing on Glass" 4. "Bad Boy Boogie" 5. "Nona" Side two - 1. "Five Years Dead" 2. "All in the Name Of..." 3. "Sumthin' for Nuthin'" 4. "You're All I…
I told P.T. if his butthole froze to the sidewalk to holler and I'd come out with a pancake turner to get him free. lol #cats #snow
So ol' P.T. has discovered a hiding spot in one of two bedrooms of the house. And he has evidently found a REALLY good one because I can't find it. I thought I had figured it out, but when I checked, nope, he wasn't there. And I honestly CANNOT for the life of me figure out where it is. He's rather a large cat and makes a considerable sized lump even curled up. This is the 4th day he's used it. I'm wondering how many more days it will take me to figure out where it is. ☺
...and Petey just came strolling into the kitchen a few hours later, still the undisputed Hide 'n Seek champion. ☺
*opens a marijuana* I've been up 12 hours now, that's long enough to wait. So I took me a big ol' hit from the bong and now I'll kick back and finish watching the remake of the classic movie 'True Grit'. Wednesday afternoon, over the hump and beginning the long slide to the weekend.
Don't matter much if you figger it in freezinheat or centipedes, it is fairly nippy outside about now.
Screw it, I decided to buy one more BCH to hold. Nothing ventured, nothing gained, and all that rigmarole. That makes 5 in my wallet now. And here is where I simply toss the wallet in a drawer and forget about it for a year or so.
Do you know what you'll find in Marvin (Michael) Lee Aday's grave? Cold Meat Loaf. (Now don't be mad---'cause two out of three leaves one)
So at the moment, I am down roughly $700.00, and BCH is still dipping. And this is precisely why no one should invest any money they cannot afford to lose. And it is also why previously I had said I would never invest in the crypto market - I didn't have any cash back then I could afford to lose. I'm starting to think maybe I should have just stuck to the vinyl record market. lol
Saturday morning, the 22nd day of the 1st month of the 3rd year of The Plague. The Squirrels are enjoying breakfast out at the Squirrel Tree™ in the front yard. They do not seem to be too concerned about any plague or about the extinction of humanity. I guess they don't realize corn doesn't just grow on trees all by itself...
#Caturday Emoci has commandeered the warmest sleeping spot in the entire house. Water heater on one side, furnace on the other. It's been chilly enough lately I'd steal it but I don't fit. :-( ☺
I'm not sure if this female cardinal realized how close Death was to her this morning as she rested on my front porch. She had not one, but TWO cats walk right past her without them noticing her. If they haven't been so intent on entering and exiting the house as I opened the door to get this photo, she would have become someone's lunch. (Second photo was actually the first taken, I saw her as I was getting ready to open the screen door and let Emoci out and Scar in)
13 days ago I ordered two different albums. One order was placed in California (2200 miles/3540.5 kilometers from me) and the other in Tennessee (270 miles/434.5 kilometers from me). Somehow, they both arrived on the same day regardless of the distance involved, so this afternoon I've had two new albums to spin: System of a Down - 'Mezmerize' & System of a Down - 'Hypnotize' (the 4th and 5th albums respectively)
Wake 'n' bake. Time to RISE &Shine. RISE is the name of the dispensary I buy my smoke at. &Shine is their 'house brand' of weed. (frame shots from the video I can't upload here unfortunately) #Cannabis #Marijuana #Morning
Me 'n 'moci earlier today, she was purring up a storm in my ear. Glad to see her recovering from the cold virus she has. #Cats
I can't decide whether to make one 40¢ post, two 20¢ posts, or four 10¢ posts, so I'll just start out with this post and see where it leads me to. Meanwhile, Emoci keeps claiming she wants to go out---until I open the door, then she just sits there and it is TOO COLD for me to stand there holding the door open, so... (currently 27 F/-3 C)
♫ Just one more mornin' I had to wake up with the blues ♫ Or just another mornin', either way is the same. "My blues so deep you might think they're black." Oh, it ain't really so bad. I just hate every other Tuesday when I have to give my leg the extra jab for the cholesterol medication I take. Over and done with for another 14 days, and the anticipation is always worse than the jab itself. 3:45 A.M. on the 25th morning of the first month of the third year of The Plague.…
I hate this -15 °C/5 °F weather when it seems as though the heater will run until March before shutting off---eats a big hole in my finances.
Playing with the spammers again...I love making them hang up on me https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xy6kneTqwJE
Some mornings that first sip of coughee hits as hard as a crack pipe. Or at least how I imagine a crack pipe would hit, personally I do not do drugs named after a part of my ass. Just now realized my eyes must have looked at the clock wrong...I got up thinking it was almost 2 and right now it is only 20 past midnight...so I guess I got up at 11:45 P.M. instead of 1:45 A.M. G'mornin'/afternoon/evenin'/what have ya
Normally I shut myself down after two mugs of coughee, but once every other month or so I end up in a situation that calls for three of them---today would be a three-mug day. Not very good for my blood pressure, but 4 A.M. is too early in the day to stop drinking caffeine unless I want the day to be over around 2 in the afternoon.
Mr Pete performing early morning YardGuard™ duty. There has been an orange cat with a white blaze on its chest that has been showing up outside the past 3 days and neither Pete nor Scar are very happy about it. Hopefully it'll get the idea it ain't wanted and find somewhere else to go hang out. #cats
Have you ever been as stoned as a Biblical whore? "I was once so stoned I had to call the operator to trace the call and tell me where I was at because I didn't have a clue." "You shouldn't smoke marijuana it is bad for you." Oh yeah? Well, it's good for YOU because if I didn't have a buzz on I'd probably slap a few of you. But these are all personal opinions of mine, if yours are different, you're wrong. :-) #marijuana #cannabis #cannabisculture
So Petey was sitting in the snow, and I asked him if that made his balls cold. He just gave me an evil glare, and then I remembered I had him neutered...
Lots of elbow room around here these days, not quite sure where everyone has run off to, but I did notice a large die-off in received activity when Chambers were removed (along with a few other 'tweaks' to the overall algorithm). I think I may also have preferred the 'random' awards we used to get from hearts, because it definitely appears personal wallet tips also went down when that was changed (and I will admit to some complicity in that myself - having to physically tip…
Personally I ain't got no dog in the fight, I don't listen to Spotify anyway, if I need a Neil Young fix I have 20 different albums I can choose from. And no, I don't own any albums by Joe Rogan. lol
Howard Hesseman a.k.a. 'Doctor' Johnny Fever dead at 81 :( One of my idols Rock on, Doctor... https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/tv/tv-news/howard-hesseman-dead-wkrp-cincinnati-1235084085/
I guess it all depends on how you look at it, but I think I am correct
It's no wonder I feel like a damn doper... Morning - Fish Oil - 1000 mg Metformin - 1000 mg Vitamin E - 1000 IU Pregabalin - 50 mg Carvedilol - 12.5 mg Glimepiride - 4 mg Varenicline - 1 mg Aspirin - 325 mg Tradjenta - 5 mg Amlodipine Besylate - 10 mg Chlorthalidone - 25 mg Lisiopril 40 mg Noon - Pregabalin - 50 mg Evening - Fish Oil - 1000 mg Metformin - 1000 mg Pregabalin - 50 mg Carvedilol - 12.5 mg Glimepiride - 4 mg Varenicline - 1 mg Doxazosin Mesylate 1 mg Basaglar…
Afternoon Skwirl Watch This is probably the one thing that shows Emoci is back in action. After being sick enough that I took her to the vet a few weeks ago, she's slowly been feeling better and getting more active. This is the first time she has hung out with the squirrels this year. #cats
