#vinylrecords #vinyl #records #vinyljunkie #HeadEast Head East - Flat As A Pancake (1975) If you gauge this album by chart performance, it didn't do very well, peaking at #126 on the album charts, and of the three singles released, one (City Of Gold) failed to chart, "Never Been Any Reason" reached #68, and "Love Me Tonight" hit #54. But the album still went on to reach 'gold record' status. Personally I consider this one of the best-produced best-sounding albums of its time period. Not recorded in a major studio, no 'big-name' producer, sonically this album flies in the face of spending tons of money just to sound good. You really have many many vinyl records! You're the winner! Btw the pancake album is attractive to the eyes, I bet it can convert normal people to become fans :)
Another one that I'm hearing the first time. Been meaning to buy myself a record player and vinyl albums. Of course, life has other plans for me.
Oh thank you for this! I've always enjoyed "Never Been Any Reason" when I've heard it on the radio, but I never knew what the song was, nor who performed it. Now I do!
