#vinylrecords #vinyl #records #vinyljunkie #Supertramp Supertramp - Breakfast In America (1979) It is a bit odd---as much as I love this album, it is the only full album by them that I can sit and listen to all the way through. They have a few good songs scattered here and there throughout their discography, but with this one I can set the needle down at the beginning of side one and enjoy spinning completely through both sides. (And here I am rocking so hard at the end of 'The Logical Song' that I simply had to stop writing and listen) In my opinion, there is not a 'bad' song on this. Just a beautiful piece of art. And that is what music is---aural art. And if you don't like it, well...you are wrong. lol (Of course I am only joking, all art is subjective to the individual) But I never tire of listening to this. Side one - 1. "Gone Hollywood" 2. "The Logical Song" 3. "Goodbye Stranger" 4. "Breakfast in America" 5. "Oh Darling" Side two - 1. "Take the Long Way Home" 2. "Lord Is It Mine" 3. "Just Another Nervous Wreck" 4. "Casual Conversations" 5. "Child of Vision" Goodbye Stranger https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-BaxriHdFaI

Watch what you say, they'll be calling you a radical, a liberal, a fanatical criminal' Was true then, continues to be true now. Not much has changed.
While "The Logical Song" kicks butt and takes names, I was never a fan of Supertramp, and thus never listened to this album. But there are more great songs on it, "Goodbye Stranger" and "Take the Long Way Home", to name two. (Until I listened to it just now, I didn't know what the name of the "Goodbye Stranger" song was!) However, I always thought the album cover was genius. With LPs no longer ruling the music market, we've lost a form of art. Wanna listen to the whole album?
