So today is the 246th anniversary of the day the USA officially announced its independence from the British Empire with the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Depending on who you talk to, we (the US) are either a success or a complete failure. But its our birthday so shut up and give me a piece of cake. :-P

I am not saying that one or the other has done better in their history. Both have fucked up at some point. And I say that as a German, we invented fucking up.
I only have wafers as a snack, the cakes are out in June :)

As a Brit I'd go with that. Who did what 246 years ago happened for good or bad and we cant change it so lets celebrate with our American cousins :D
